You have people literally living out their dreams, getting paid millions of dollars and hating every minute of being in the WWE. It's become like clockwork. Someone literally speaks up about it every 6 months and it seems to have at least been going on for 20 years now.
I don't even think we know how bad it truly is. I have hated a lot of jobs in my life, but I never thought about quitting, and i make a fraction of what they do. For people to regularly walk away from millions of dollars and their childhood dream is mind blowing.

From Andrade's interview today:
The same doc who liberally gave CM Punk z-packs and missed his infection, randomly phoned Charlotte and told her she was pregnant. She had to get about a dozen tests and finally went to another doctor to confirm she was indeed not pregnant.
WWE pulled her from some shows thinking this, and it cost her money. The Dr never apologized.
Also, doctors don't diagnose people on if they are pregnant via blood test like WWE's, they use the blood test as an indictor to justify more pregnancy tests. If i had a quack Doctor giving me wrong info, i would probably be really upset too

This is the same in any work place.
There are always unhappy people.
There are also plenty of people who have been their decades and are perfectly happy, and many who have left who are always saying they'd love to go back.
We'll never really know how good or bad it is, given how you feel you are treated is pretty subjective to how you feel, and no one can tell you how you feel.

WWE is rightly seen as not the pinnacle of the craft, but the pinnacle of the money to be earned at the craft. If you've heard of someone consistently busting their asses on the indies, but are disappointed when you see them grinding out the Five Moves of Doom in WWE, just remember that they're on their money run, not a creatively- or professionally-fulfilling one.
WWE is the research-and-publishing BS you do to keep relevant after you've submitted the dissertation and walked the stage for your Ph.D. There'll be things you'll do to dazzle the audience for...reasons, but there'll also be stretches where the best you can put out that's acceptable to the admins will be just enough to prevent charges of plagiarism or fraud. When you realize that the most money is being shelled out to the goddamned football coach, that's when you start wondering if you should just take on adjunct work or trolling for grants.

Why would a company run by Vince McMahon Jr., making billions by literally trolling fandom, care about a toxic work environment? He didn't spend decades creating a monopoly to worry about his employee's "feelings."

toxicity is all subjective. Didn't Brodie Lee's wife write something after his passing, saying something along the lines of "Why would we hate WWE? Brodie left because he wanted to do more in the industry, not because he hated being there. They are our friends." Being underused doesn't necessarily mean toxic. But then again, someone else's experience may very well be toxic. (Bullying, Harrassed, ostracized.)

Is it a toxic work environment or is it just people frustrated that they’re not being used right or at all? Think they just have too much premium talent to keep happy. |

Even if none of the issues were actually coming from Vince the problem would still be Vince. |
