Does this mean that NJPW is officially done soon, too? Or is CMLL taking another L for no good reason

I'm gonna take a stab and say they wanted ROH to quit using Rush and Dragon Lee and ROH refused to do so

Fine sign a relationship with AAA and get Vikingo in there.

So what does that mean for RUSH, Dragon Lee, and Bandito? Do they just... disappear from ROH? I dont know what their contract situation is or how much this actually effects ROH in the end.

Because if not, yeah I would see CMLL having much more to lose backing out of their partnership where ROH could just... partner with AAA or something.

CMLL fired Rush and Lee in Septmeber of 2019. All three of them signed new deals with ROH in January which allows them do some 3rd party merch and other stuff. CMLL has been telling companies not to use Rush and Lee since this time last year, because CMLL are big babies I guess? Sounds like ROH finally told them to get lost.

Because CMLL dropped the bag on all of them, because it's run by idiots.

Fine sign a relationship with AAA and get Vikingo in there. Rush is started his own promotion in Mexico (the already mentioned Federacion), so ROH would likely work with them. However, Rush wants to work AAA as well, so perhaps ROH would still partner with it.

This reminds me of when The Crash came out of nowhere and suddenly all guys were jumping ship to the crash and then as quick as it came it was gone atleast as anything popular.
I expect this to end up much the same way.

Personally in my opinion CMLL is the most dull promotion out there today as there's nothing exciting or worth investing into. Its a lot different from renaissance days of Dragon Lee vs Kamaitachi.

The only that might give ROH a hiccup is NJPW long standing relationship with CMLL once travel opens up again, but New Japan really loves the ROH boys on Strong and Dragon Lee is really wanting to work in Japan again... soo things might get interesting..

I don't imagine this will hurt NJPW/CMLL relations. Fantasticamania is from what I hear among the biggest money makers CMLL does. I do wonder how involved CMLL guys will be in Strong and other tours in Japan once the world opens up though. Would they shoot down any CMLL guy wrestling an ROH guy like Bárbaro Cavernario being pulled from BOLA a few years ago.

The NJPW/CMLL potential fallout from this is much more intriguing, as whatever happens would either have to open up some new opportunities, or close the door on what they were building with Strong. Unfortunately we're likely past the point of being able to grab Rey Fenix for a BOSJ.
