Vince getting blown up in the limo. Of course Benoit’s death put an end to that.

When Raw had no authority figure and JBL declared Martial Law. Then you had the babyface alliance of John Cena and Cryme Tyme banding together for like a week.
It didn’t last long and then I think Adamle took over as GM.

I don't know if this counts, but in 1999 WCW they started to build towards a Goldberg-Tank Abbott match with Abbott just coming out beating up random guys and calling out Goldberg. It was really hot and I really believe that WCW could have milked this out for a few months and built to a major PPV main event payday. But, Russo being Russo, they wound up blowing off the angle about three weeks later in a 90 second match on Nitro because Russo got bored and wanted to turn Goldberg heel.

The Two-Man Power Trip.
Triple H tore his quad and then the Invasion took center stage.

It always felt like they had plans to go somewhere with the photographer who cost Hogan the match at King of the Ring 93. I think they were counting on Hogan sticking around after dropping the belt, with the reveal of Whippleman as the photographer, and leading to a feud with Giant Gonzalez.

The Two-Man Power Trip. Triple H tore his quad and then the Invasion took center stage. I don't think that was lasting much longer even without the injury. They were already showing signs of dissension in the final few weeks when Austin "accidentally" cost HHH the IC title at Judgment Day then the next night on Raw in that famous tag match HHH "accidentally" hit Austin with the sledgehammer. It seemed to be leading to a break up and heel Austin vs. face HHH at KOTR or Summerslam.

Remember when Bo Dallas had an undefeated streak and R-Truth was just like "f*** you lol" It probably wasn't going much longer, but they did kill it a bit early, as he didn't even get to Undertaker's number. Also, Ryback made his return as a babyface a few weeks later, which would have been the PERFECT blow off.

A feud with Hogan for Giant Gonzales would mean that he would win his feud with Taker. That could have damaged the Undertakers reputation...only for someone to look strong brother.

That would have been a horrible feud. Gonzalez was nowhere near Andre's level of talent. Even 1990 Andre could have a better match than him with Hulk if they wrestled. Gonzalez had no presence. After his debut it was all quickly downhill from there. I'm sad to say because I think he was a pretty good guy who just happened to be signed because couldn't make it with Turner's Hawks. I do think a Hogan feud wouldn't have hurt Taker because I think it was Mr. Hughes supposed to be feuding with Undertaker but Hughes bailed as he normally did (1993, 1997, 1999) with WWF. Why they kept bringing him back is beyond me.

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, Mr. Kennedy was supposed to cash-in the Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania 24 against Taker for the world title. The kibosh was put on that when Kennedy dropped the MITB to Edge, but by most accounts Taker himself was pushing for Kennedy to end the streak and beat him for the belt in that Mania main event.
2008 seems to have a lot of these, like Regal getting popped for wellness ending the very well recieved and well done heel-gm-who-could-kill-you-physically storyline that was supposed to build to him losing at Summerslam against Triple H with Smackdown's world title vs his GM position on Raw at stake.
I may be misremembering this one, but didn't Raven have a whole "seven deadly sins" angle on Heat abruptly cut short in late 2002 to suddenly appear once stalking Test and Stacy on Raw and then neither storyline was ever mentioned again?

Edge and jericho win unified tag belts. Ultimate opportunist edge and srs Jericho had a bond that felt very dominant. It was definitely going to keep them in the main event scene and have an interesting dynamic. Cut short by edges injury and very disappointing. Big what if scenario had that played out.

The Two-Man Power Trip. Triple H tore his quad and then the Invasion took center stage. I always thought they could have still went with it even with Triple H's injury. They could have kept Austin heel, with Triple H getting his huge babyface return in January 02. Austin costs Triple H a Rumble victory setting up one final blow off match at Wrestlemania, and instead keeping Angle as a face and having him win the Rumble going after Jericho for the title instead of Triple H(in that godawful storyline with Stephanie)

Eddies final feud with Batista. By all accounts Eddie was meant to win the World title.
