No wonder the match combinations are so well-trodden that they're a fine paste now... They need some kids! This is getting to latter-day WWE ECW levels, yet they keep dropping people and not replacing them. Three of the releases this week were SmackDown talents (Black, Murphy and Riott), in addition to EIGHT others already this year (Bryan, Kalisto, Sullivan, Rawley, Cutler, Blake, Kay and Green).
And this is supposed to sustain four and a half belts?

I can't speak for the men, but for the women's division its pretty clear they are going to run some combination of Bianca/Bayley/Sasha/Carmella until the heat death of the universe at this point.
Tonight was the first time I have legitimately gotten annoyed at Bianca and her promos as well. Maybe it's just the feud with Bayley but it was just so obnoxious and the feud itself is utterly heatless.

Don’t forget Edge. I was looking forward to Black returning. Last week I was hoping maybe the Riott Squad was finally going to get a push then they lost in like three minutes. Got little excited when Liv came out tonight then she lost to Carmella in like four minutes. Nikamura and Boog are fun but they have done every combination of the Corbin feud already. I’m soo tired of the Usos drama, give Jimmy a short main event push so we can get this over with. Sami and KO is still going on for some reason. Where is Big E? Seriously the only thing I really marked for tonight is when Otis wrecked the Smoke Boyz. Give Dominic a mask already he doesn’t look threatening.

What's also wild is that most of them are tied to some type of title feud. Come on now. We need to end the brand split or a shake up.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were ending the brand split between Raw and Smackdown.

The 2016 brand extension left Smackdown with a similarly small active roster and the shows were great for a while, same as Smackdown is now.

This is the bigger issue more than any misery booking or Roman being too invincible.

End the brand split. For at least 5 years if not more. Please.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were ending the brand split between Raw and Smackdown. From the ad they ran it looks like the house show tour will be co-brand and that has always been the number two factor in the split so that may be coming.

End the brand split. For at least 5 years if not more. Please. Only issue is that WWE then tends to have all their favourites on BOTH shows, and that means more people end up with just the toaster leavins.

The 2016 brand extension left Smackdown with a similarly small active roster and the shows were great for a while, same as Smackdown is now. 2016 Litdown had way more personality and it felt fresh, just new. This is a roster that makes a brand right here. I chalk Litdown up to two very important factors; format and stars. For format, it just wasn't being written like Raw was. It felt fresh because Ryan Ward and Road Dogg were able to do stuff with its thin roster and with its overall presentation that let it become something different. They added Talking Smack and let people go onto it to cut some really amazing promos that helped sell the stories they built. But then backing that up was how they elevated a lot of people to the big times. Ambrose got one over on both other Shield members and took the title over with him, proving he could absolutely hang in the main event as hard as already-coronated Roman and Seth could. AJ continued his ascent, taking Cena down and then pivoting into his Ambrose feud, and locking himself in as a WWE hall of famer easily. Becky broke through in what wasn't yet her huge star making shot, but was at the time a huge feel good moment. Hell, even Slater and Rhyno getting over and getting the first tag title win was a big, happy culmination to a story that was over with the fans. The format felt fresh, the faces felt fresh, and everything had an air to it of being an interesting show that was still very much WWE, but was notably different in format, structure, and story progression from Raw.
