Ok so it seems as if everyone thinks Punk signed or will sign with AEW. I read Punk recently started following AEW on Twitter. AEW also appears to have signed or will sign Daniel Bryan….Black just debuted, eventually all these other rumored WWE guys will also be able to sign…Vince/Hunter aren’t as dumb as we think, they see this company growing, they seem how Black pulled one over on them, and now maybe losing their top baby face over the last 10 years in Daniel Bryan to them…
Is it just me or with all this happening, and now the Punk rumors…maybe it’s the wrestling fan in me and knowing how they like to work is, but something in my head keeps thinking Punk is actually returning to WWE and the whole AEW crap is just to troll? Record low ratings, AEW has surpassed NXT in ratings and at this rate, within a year or so AEW may surpass Raw in ratings. There really isn’t major “big moments” left for Vince and company that would draw in a bigger audience.
Punk is it.
I’m sure I’m wrong but if it plays out like this, you heard it here first.

Look, I know that during the Monday Night Wars we got used to this kind of stuff, mostly from Eric Bischoff, but that was twenty years ago and honestly was never Vince's style. He's not out there looking to work the smart fans or the sheets. If there was any chance that CM Punk was coming back then he'd announce it from the highest mountaintop, if for no other reason then to see if it would give his stock prices a boost.

I would love another run but I am damn sure he aint coming back to WWE for the simple fact Vince and company would never give him what he would most desire and that is creative controll.

I'm sure WWE have probably made overtures of some type to him, but I also think Punk has bigger concerns than money, and just by virtue of how WWE is, they can't really give him the kind of creative freedom he'd want. Not even knocking WWE to say that, it's just not how the company is built.

Punk coming back to this company would finish me off for good. What good is gonna come from it? The booking is still terrible, the characters are not there, Vince has lost his damn mind and wants to constantly rewrite history and act like things we have invested in no longer matter.
CM Punk (and Daniel Bryan) showing up in AEW is the best possible chance we have of making wrestling have a mainstream boom again.
If Punk throws that away for a paycheck to go back to a company that he admits himself that he was f***ing miserable in, then I'll lose all respect for him.

Not even knocking WWE to say that, it's just not how the company is built. It's the same with Bryan. Like sure you bring Punk back, now what? Like are you gonna have him wrestle the same four guys over and over and over and over and over again? Because that's the direction WWE gives their """characters""". How many times did we get Retribution vs. Ricochet? Big E vs. Apollo? Cesaro vs. Seth? Not to mention, the for sure program he'd be given is against Triple H since that was the plan for XXX, but he turned it down because he saw no value in it.

If he’s not promised creative control and the last match at Mania, he’s not listening.
And I’ll bet they told him last match on night one
‘s pre-show.

I sincerely think that Punk would have returned to wrestling and probably to WWE had they not disrespected him so much on his way out the door. Dragging their feet on firing him, rushing his termination papers over to arrive on his wedding day, the f***ing weird video they put on their official Youtube channel publiclyafter his AOW appearance where they tried to counter his claim he had a big swollen infection by zooming silently in on several shots of his ass as if trying to claim he was lying. If he'd had a few years to rest up and cool off, he would have been back, but they got spiteful on his way out. There's definitely a lot of creative complaints to be had, and they're really valid ones for him to be worried about, but I don't think he holds the anger he does if they didn't play games with it.

Even without the AEW stuff, him arriving in WWE with it's current landscape wouldn't work out. The company would have to be completely rooted from the ground and replanted before he'd fit in. It's just a different place and nobody would be happy with it including fans.

If they'd actually used the intervening years to make some positive changes to how the company is run, I could see him being interested. But as it stands, they're even worse now than they were when he got fed up and walked out. Stranger things have happened, but as far as the near future goes, I see the chances of CM Punk in WWE in 2021, or even 2022, being less than zero.

What if CM Punk is secretly already back? Has anyone ever seen Punk and Nick Khan together in the same room?

Everyone is building up this amazing moment where Punk and Bryan both debut at All Out and everyone loses their minds, but let's face it, if I had to put money on either one of those two actually stringing the fans along and then immediately taking WWE's money, at this point, it'd be Punk. It's not like he hasn't done this before.

His return will basically be just like this video except replace Ryback with Roman.

Punk has made it clear he’s come back if the $ was right…I’m not sure he really cares about creative control as much as the $ and prolly a edge like schedule

I feel like if they had to choose between punk and Bryan right now in regards to generating a buzz…they’d 100% go with punk. Man I feel it, don’t know why but this is a total wwe thing/punk thing to do.

ehh I doubt it. Honestly neither side seems interested to work together anymore, and that's fine.

Where did say he would come back if the money was right?
This all sounds like nonsensical speculation

Where did say he would come back if the money was right? This all sounds like nonsensical speculation Nah he’s done interviews where they point break asked him what it would take to come back and his response was always “in a businessman so I’d listen” and then he basically said a lot of $.
