(I put that final one for you dorks who vote that way so never let it be said I don’t give the people what they want!)
People have talked about it across various threads but let’s get a good old fashion FAN poll going and get this down in facts and statistics.
You can write your fantasy scenario about how it would go down but the important thing is to answer the main question; we know it’s happening…but when.
EDIT: Also, the poll ends as soon as Rampage starts so you can take your time with your pick or pick now, up to you.

It has to be at the beginning. Otherwise the crowd will be chanting CM PUNK throughout the night!

No one will ever see it coming, I swear to God!

At the end. Can't really see anything else closing the next Rampage.

If they structure the show like last week and put the biggest piece at the beginning, Punk will open in some form. Maybe after a Darby promo or match.
There's arguments and reasons for anytime on the show really. You could hold it off till the end and just build that anticipation throughout. The hour timeframe is great.
But I suspect it'll be at the end.

The very, very end, so they can tease that he might not show up and get social media freaking out, then bring him out when everybody's tension is just about to burst.

What if.....he doesn't show up? I mean, WWE wouldn't have to worry about them doing another United Center show since I'm pretty sure there won't be a United Center.

My gut says it’ll be the second main segment so “teased” around the time Christian was having his post-match interview in the prior episode, something/commercial break and then maybe have the whole thing play out in two segments but not be the end-end of the show.
To me it’s got to be the middle or the end. End-end does makes sense for a lot of reasons (viewers, ratings, the absolute bubbling tension), and middle seems reasonable too. Starting off with it is definitely the “f*** it: balls to the wall” approach but that could be awesome too.

I don't think an hour long show is long enough to get impatient, especially with the fans having a lot of goodwill towards them. You could safely wait until the end and have it work.
That said, the cat is long out of the bag. Having him open the show makes sense, too.

I'd say the beginning so the rest of the show doesn't feel completely redundant trying to get any reaction beyond a "CM PUNK!" chant.

He'll pull out once he realizes he has to speak in front of a live crowd. Poor guy is very shy and has a well-known history of social anxiety. Shame on AEW for putting him into such a hyped position and I hope he gets some self-care once the deal is reneged

TK said something to the effect of the format being different from a typical AEW show. To me, that sounds like opening with something other than a match. I think he opens.

Thinking about it, it's entirely possible AEW just doesn't even put any matches on next week. The Chicago crowd's already going to get dark matches beforehand, and you could definitely spend the first 10-15 minutes hyping up Punk's debut (So anyone who thinks 'maybe he shows up at the end' knows to tune in NOW) and then have the guy's comeback take up the rest of the show. I expect they will have in-ring action though, albeit I think it'll be a one-fight show.

Build up to it, tease it, and like you said maybe have one match. At 40-something minutes w/ commercials, it’s entirely possible.

I'm thinking the show opens with a Darby segment, leading into Punk's appearance. People chanting Punk's name at Darby won't hurt anything since it was Darby who low-key called him out in the first place.

I think it might be more likely than not - it's not a long show at all, and unless they commit to having one Miro-style squash per week, it's probably typically going to be a two match card anyway if they want to actually take advantage of things like Henry's interviews and advance storylines. I'd probably stick Darby in action against a midcarder, if he's actually going to be feuding with Punk.
