Seriously, what the f***, man?!
There are honestly people double his age who haven’t gotten the business as much as he has already.

I was thinking during the Darby match where the heck did he come from. He’s already good.

Dante Martin is 20
Julia Hart is 19
Griff Garrison is 22
Anna Jay is 23
Wrestlers are starting to get really really good at younger and younger ages... and it's crazy to see.

I’m really excited how his career is gonna grow. He’s still so young, so him losing these big matches don’t hurt him at all. Just wait until he finally gets that big win. You could probably put him with the core group of up and comers who will be the future of AEW.

It's such amazing freak happenstance that he went from a guy making a decent name for himself on the Northeast indies to suddenly in high profile angles in AEW and he doesn't even seem out of place. People focus a lot more on 2.0 and pretty rightfully given their post-firing comeback story, but Daniel Garcia has all but shown up by freak accident and just belongs.

It also has to be said, that same freak happenstance lead to him getting a match against Minoru Suzuki. Others as well, but Suzuki!!

2.0 seem to be so proud of their son as well. He really is impressive at such a young age

Said it in the show thread, but Garcia was in an accident a couple years ago that had the potential to end his career before it even really got started.
Now he's lined up to face Jay White, Minoru Suzuki, and maybe Bryan Danielson, all of them on internationally broadcasted or streamed platforms and not just small indie shows, before he even turns 23.
Will he win any of those matches? Doubtful. Doesn't matter, though, he's going to be something special. I honestly hope he stays a free agent for awhile and works some more NJPW-US, or gets to go to Japan for Best of Super Juniors at some point, or hits up ROH to have a Pure Title match or two, but this is a kid who's part of the generation that's really going to benefit from coming up in his early 20s at a time when there's actually more than one mainstream wrestling option in the US.
Fun to think of the Danielson parallels, though; Bryan Danielson was barely over 20 when he main evented the first Ring of Honor card back in 2002.

AEW's young lions are stacked. Hell, even Riho's only 24 and she's also a 15 year veteran!

Him turning Fuego into an exercise machine is still one of the damnedest things I've ever seen.

Showcase some of the Indies young and brightest on DARK or Elevation coupled with their own signed talents Yes I want them to take a bunch of CHIKARA's ideas and use them for good!

What's even more impressive to me after finding out how young the guy is, not only is he techncially sound in the ring, but he looks comfortable.
Like he's being thrust into these huge storyline's, main events on shows, and doesn't feel out of place. That's a hell of an intangible to have.
Between this and a few others, I think I need to go back and watch some older Dark's, and plan on it being a weekly thing. Sounds like I'm missing a lot of good stuff.
I'm already a fan of the dude, and did I hear he's gonna face Suzuki?!
Yes. and Please.

Him and 2point0 showed up pretty much out of nowhere in AEW and quickly got put with Darby, Sting, Moxley, Eddie, CM Punk...and they don't look out of place and are owning every opportunity.

Its like Zach Sabre Jr. decided to train a kid from Buffalo and the kid got adopted by the Nasty Boys' cousins.

Its like Zach Sabre Jr. decided to train a kid from Buffalo and the kid got adopted by the Nasty Boys' cousins. I told my buddy awhile back that he reminds me of Zack Sabre Jr. but isn't a charisma vacuum for me like Zack is. And can actually sell for his opponents which I think Zack forgets to do. Then again I haven't watched a ZSJ match in a couple years, so he may very well no longer look like he's trying to remember if he left the oven on while in a submission move.
