It took an embarrassing long time for me to realize that the Blue World Order was called as such not just because it rhymed with the "New" in New World Order (which was obvious), but also because it was named after the Blue Meanie. You know, I realized the Blue Meanie piece of that at the time. But I don’t think I’d ever noticed the rhyming piece of this until now. Undertakers manager being called Paul Bearer I’d heard enough from funerals as a kid that I caught the connection. But it was well on toward my adult years that I actually realized the term was spelled “pallbearer” instead of something closer to “Paul Bearer.” ………….… As for my own “dummy” realization… Thinking that TNA might someday be a legit competitor to WWE.

I just found out today that Hook in AEW is Taz's son.
I did not know that.

The sharpshooter works, but Monsoon used excellence of execution for a lot of guys, like Steamboat and I believe even Bob Orton. Maybe he repurposed it but it wasn’t invented for Bret. I think Gorilla would generally say something was "Excellently Executed" more than the excellence of execution. He definitely says it during the Can Am v. Orton and Rock match at Mania 3.

Yeah, about Bob Orton. So it was just a general Gorilla-ism before it became a secondary nickname for Bret Hart.

I always thought Syxx was a play on adding up 1-2-3 Kid, rather then simply because he was the sixth member of the nWo.

I've mentioned it before, but as a kid I didn't realize Doom was Butch Reed and Ron Simmons until they took the masks off.

It took until my early 20's to realize both:
1) Kane being named after the biblical Cain
2) DeGeneration X making sense as a name. Never thought about it besides 'phrase that sounds cool' but all the members do belong to Generation X so it's a corruption that went over my head

My dad told me that Hercules Hernandez in '92 was a different guy and I believed it for years. It made sense. Suddenly he's got a big pot belly, wears long tights, and has no beard.

Both theories were out there on RSPW back then.

So I probably did know this but completely forgot about it again.

Syxx's name isn't a theory. When Bischoff tells us his name he says outright that he's the 6th member of the group.

Shit that seems totally obvious. Glad I'm not the only big dummy on this,I thought the exact samething. 😂😂😂
