Honestly, agreed but I think he's fine. I went in pretty much expecting him to sound 30 years older and just happy he's still able to do it at all. Blum's a high standard at this point, it could be argued he's the definitive Wolverine VO to some and honestly, sealed it for me with Midnight Sons (which, Christ people, buy Midnight Sons. It's on sale a lot and definitely worth it). I was really surprised with how good Midnight Sons was. I blame the marketting--I didn't even realise it was a card game until months after its release. And honestly I thought it was some crappy, "games as a service" schlock like Avengers was. They absolutely hid that it was a strategy game with card game mechanics all of the ads for it showed basically cut scenes (that weren't from the game) and if you didn't see it was from the X-com team you'd probably never know. I worked at Gamestop in the leadup and whenever someone asked about it I made sure to let them know that it's not an action game like Spider-man.

Binge watching the original series before watching the new episodes. Have a stupid question:
There's a background mutant that shows up several times. He kinda looks like Bigfoot with glasses. I think his first appearance is him getting bullied by people from Grayson Creed's group. Is he from the comics or just a creation of the series?

I love card games, and it would have been a first-day purchase for me if I had known. But I saw the ads which gave zero hint what type of game it was, and just assumed it was gonna be like The Avengers so didn't bother looking into it further. The highlight though was the interactions with the other characters. The game did a great job with it. Other than Ghost Rider (young Ghost Rider), there wasn't a character I disliked or found boring.

{Spoiler}So the only "abandonment' Scott does here is noping out of the decision to send Nathan into the future, he annoys Maddie more by being a total fence-sitter on the two Jeans earlier on, and Maddie simply decides to leave on her own terms since it's something she knew she wanted from the start of the new series

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I really don't know if I like the idea of them going with the whole Madelyne Pryor story. The cartoon has streamlined it and their handling aspects of it better then the comics did, but at the same time this story was the first step to turning the X-Men comics into the continuity mess they became in the 90's and 00's. They need to tread very carefully on this.
But I guess the cartoon is no stranger to continuity issues itself ::coughArchangelcough::.
I'd love to see Cyclops go to some group therapy for this though - Therapist: Please, Scott, we all know how you feel. Cyclops: The woman I love was replaced by a clone who I married without ever realizing it! How can any of you know how I feel? 90's Spider-Man: Well, actually...
Crazy Eddie's shows up again. In the real world I'm pretty sure Crazy Eddie's had long closed up by 1997. I'm jumping through some mental hoops trying to figure out how the X-Men stopped the massive fraud and insider trading that drove the chain out of business.
So Morph has a romantic interest in Wolverine, right? I'm not the only one picking up on that, am I?
Has Sunspot been in the mansion this whole time? I thought he left at the end of the first episode? Or did Jubilee just decide to invite him over for a date right in the middle of a whole clone nightmare saga mess? That seems like poor timing. And, also, something that Jubilee would totally do.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Given that Cable already exists in The Future, how are they gonna explain this?

I didn't dislike this episode but it did feel rushed. I get that they only have 10 episodes but one of the hallmarks of the original series were storylines that needed 2,3,4 episodes sometimes to complete. This feels like it should have been minimum 2 episodes. It could be suffering from them having too many stories they want to tell and no guarantee they'll have the space to tell it. Kinda like what happened with Legend of Korra.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}considering shapeshifters abilities, they're most likely to be bi-sexual or pan-sexual. I think most of us would experiment if we suddenly had those abilities.
does explain Wolverine's reaction to Morph's injury & abandonment in the original's first few episodes.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I'm not saying the feelings mutual, if anything it looks to me like Morph has a crush on Wolverine that Wolverine is pretty oblivious to. I expect this to lead to a lot of heartbreak and drama down the road.
Although I'd kinda love it for them to reveal that Wolverine is into Morph like that, if only to see the reaction of certain segments of the internet to the revelation that their 90's Gen X anti-hero idol swings that way. The online hissyfits over it would be hilarious.

if they wanted to take Morph & Logan that way they have enough there in the original series to point to for it and the excuse of the show is in it's own universe/timeline away from everything else if the outrage got too much.
I want to see social media sites burn due to the meltdowns it would cause as well.

I know it's a short season, but there's surely more to this, so much MASSIVE stuff over years was breezed through in 1 episode.
It was worth at least a couple of parts.
