With all they are borrowing from Age of Apocalypse, I hope Nemesis shows up.

We see Genosha peaceful and prosperous.
It'd be a shame if a thousand Sentinels decided to attack

f*** me that was a half hour of non-stop trauma and we heard a cuss word in a kids' show.
Still wrapping my head around it, I think I loved so much of it, but f*** man.

Funny, last week an episode underran and this week a full one overran. {Spoiler}I wonder if the psychic affair with Scott and Madeline was between him and Maddie specifically, or was that one shot of Emma meant to say 'yeah, that was totally Frost', because other than that Maddie seems to be pretty level headed.
Logan trying to respect boundaries even if Jean's starting to cross the line. I do love that Scott argued with her on whether or not she's in love with him or the memory of loving him, Jean feeling the cosmos beckon, definitely setting up a Phoenix return for the finale probably.
Mags probably ain't dead, but the fact they did the Morrison Genosha Massacre means he'll be back to his 'mad terrorist twat' days...maybe he'll pose as Xorn here too? Reimagined as a terrorist leader and not a school teacher?

Magneto: Nobody knows it, but Charles had a secret smile, and he used it only for me.

I knew what was gonna happen after that sort of happy song playing at the party. That's a sure sign that things are going to go south.

I don’t want them reviving the Spider-Man animated show if all they seem interested in doing in these revivals is screwing up romantic relationship after romantic relationship. Who are the writers on this show Dan Slott and Zeb Wells?

Cable, Bishop, one of you has to go back in time and avert this.

I don’t want them reviving the Spider-Man animated show if all they seem interested in doing in these revivals is screwing up romantic relationship after romantic relationship. Who are the writers on this show Dan Slott and Zeb Wells? I don't think DeMayo screwed over any relationship, especially not in this episode. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Rogue came to her senses and realized what she felt for Magneto could never be as deep as what she felt for Gambit, even if it was too late to tell him, and Remy himself wasn't emasculated by the whole deal. He put the girlboss in her place for not being upfront about her past history with him, and he still wanted to be friends with her after that...so there would have been a chance for the two if he had lived and Rogue was more open to him afterwards.
Jean and Scott being distant around one another happened in Morrison's era, as did her leaning in on Logan. Logan turning her down happened in the books too, but of course people forget the story being told and only focus on the opening salvo, because they just want their pound of the writer's flesh.
DeMayo is a big Scott and Jean fan and it shows here. He isn't having Scott cheat on Jean with Emma, he's conflicted over caring for someone he considers a part of Jean, the whole story isn't about being manipulated, Jean and Maddie both have reasons to care about Scott and the stakes are he could lose both if they can't come to an understanding of one another.
I also loved that Scott stood up to Jean. How refreshing it is in modern fiction to have a woman not only shown to be as much trouble as the men, but to also have the men stand up to them and call them out their B.S. If only this could happen in the movies and live-action shows more often.
it's part of the history. As much as we all tired of the soap opera elements, that's what X-Men was always known and revered for, and this show is not for kids, it's for the kids who grew alongside it, and that means the comics that grew alongside us. All those books had personal drama.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Gambit is an interesting one to kill off...I do wonder if this is a sign they are gonna fast forward to doing Krakoa next season and bring him back considering Mutants being able to just endlessly bring eachother back is very important to that whole era.

DeMayo also hated Krakoa and tweeted that wouldn't be on the cards.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}With The Watcher's appearance, I do definitely think it's a crossover episode of What If disguised as a regular episode, and they'll acknowledge the old school Marvel rule of creating a parallel universe with each change to the timeline, and that will be when Cable succeeds. He does say this is happening again for him, which means he's created a lot of similar realities by failing
Besides the adaptation of Days of Future Past, there was a two-parter in the original animated series where Bishop went back to prevent Apocalypse from creating a mutant plague, and at the end of the first part, Apocalypse grew into an SNK boss and killed all of the X-Men and the plague continued. In the second part, Bishop found an alternative way of destroying the virus, and the tiniest change was Apocalypse simply escaped rather than kill his enemies.
