There was some british sitcom about a hotel that only ran 12 episodes. Must not have been very good.

Oh, another one -
Phenom - starring Judith Light (Who's the Boss?) as the single mother of a young tennis prodigy and William Devane as said prodigy's intrusive tennis coach. Despite being in all 22 episodes, Devane's name never appeared in the shows credits due to a pissing contest between him and Light over who should get top billing ("if I can't get top billing, then I don't want any billing at all!"). I remember it best though for starring a pre-Kes Jennifer Lien as the older brothers girlfriend.

That’s My Bush, by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, had George W. And Laura Bush in what was meant to be a spoof of 50’s sitcoms, much like Heil Honey I’m Home. It got canceled after about 6 episodes. USA had a show called Campus Cops in the mid 90’s about college security guards, that I vaguely remember. That's My Bush was great. wasn't really in bad taste. It ended because it cost a lot to make. Too much so that Comedy Central couldn't really afford it. Plus it wouldn't be in good taste to continue it in the aftermath of 9/11

I was making a joke about Fawlty Towers. Hey thread was about short lived sitcoms, not just cancelled ones.

I remember looking it up ages ago out of sheer curiosity, and I wasn't offended by it personally (although I completely understand why people were), I just found it really boring and even taking away the concept it was badly done. Yeah, it was just a failure on every possible level. A transparent premise designed to shock, offend, and generate publicity in the hope that it'll get people to watch, and painfully unfunny comedy halfheartedly delivered by otherwise talented actors who clearly didn't expect the show to last very long.

Not short lived, honestly, given it has 2-3 seasons, but it's still really wild to me there was a Harry and the Hendersons sitcom.

In 1969, Tim Conway starred in "Turn-On", a sketch comedy series like the successful "Laugh-In", but without a laugh track and with quick cuts between scenes.
The first episode was broadcast on the East Coast, and the immediate reaction was so bad that the show was pulled from the network ABC before it could be air on the West Coast.

A few years back, NBC ran a sitcom called Powerless, set in the DC universe, about the pitfalls of ordinary people. Had a solid cast, including Danny Pudi from Community, Ron Funches, Alan Tudyk, and Vanessa Hudgens as the main star. Jokes were weak, the show ran about 6 of its 13 episodes. The only reason the season finale saw the light of day was because Adam West was a guest star and he had just passed away. So that got released to Youtube.

The Good Life ran for 1 season in 1994 on NBC, the only notable thing about it was one of the stars was a pre Drew Carey Show...Drew Carey.

Off the top of my head, Kinvig and Comrade Dad. Both lasted a series, which is 6 or 7 episodes in the UK.
