The last thing WWE needs is become strictly a TV show. The house show gives them a chance to showcase a little personality and actually make people like them. I generally agree but is it worth it? The wrestlers dont make much money but put wear and tear on their bodies and minds. And they may get to show off but its only for a few hundred people and never acknowledged on TV, which is all that matters to the company. The only real benefit that I can see is for the company as they get to work the wrestlers more to earn their downside guarantee. I doubt most of the wrestlers are getting paid enough for house shows to exceed the downside.

From PWinsider
Well good news it is just a sprain but no telling how severe the sprain is.
I would think she will be good to go for the rumble.

Probably would be best for her to enter the Rumble late to lessen the workload as well when there are fewer bodies flying around. Although that does beg the question of who will be the workhorse of the Rumble to keep things running smoothly. The first one had Sasha and Becky in that role, so I wonder who gets that role this year, especially if they're incorporating NXT more this year and there will be a lot of green workers.

Like, it’s a blessing to have her be around in that role, but it’s also a curse because it’s ALWAYS her.

Bring Io in early and let her get the Ironwoman status this year the same way they did it for Bianca. She makes it to the final 4 or even 3 before being eliminated.

Or use Rhea for that role perhaps? Rhea desperately needs a good showing after they cooled her off so much last year.

Or use Rhea for that role perhaps? Rhea desperately needs a good showing after they cooled her off so much last year. She's good but she's also young and I don't think is someone who is a ring general type who they would use in that role. They did have her in for over 30 minutes last year but Charlotte was also in there with her for pretty much all of that time and I'm guessing she was the one who was being relied to keep things running smoothly. Natalya is the first person who popped in my head as they always use in her in that role and on one hand I get it as she is the most qualified but on the other hand it's ALWAYS her and it's Natalya who is about as interesting as watching paint dry. However I don't know who else they could use in that role this year as all the other veteran ring general types are either champions (Charlotte, Becky), out with injuries (Bayley, Asuka), or dealing with a minor injury and need to be handled with kid gloves (Sasha).

WWE announced she'll be about 6-8 weeks. Well that largely changes the rumble now since she was the front winner by many to win. I guess then go with a Raw winner to buy Sasha time to be able to challenge Charlotte in the following weeks.

That really does leave the women's Rumble wide open now. I was expecting her to win it and face Charlotte at Wrestlemania. That match will probably still happen but it'll need to be Becky's Wrestlemania challenger winning the Rumble now. Bianca going back to back? I think it's either that or a returning Asuka.

Well that sucks, she was my pick to win the Rumble this year.
Man, they SD Women’s Division is RAZOR thin in terms of credible stars right now.

Bianca is probably winning the triple threat match next week. And while it won't eliminate her from entering the Rumble, I can't see her winning either if she already gets a title match at the show itself. She isn't "The Man" levels of over. Rhea is probably the other frontrunner. Outside chance of it being Asuka as well. If NXT is in it this year, Raquel has a very high chance of winning even though she shouldn't.

Beginning to think Io Shirai as Rumble winner might not be as farfetched. There are no real challengers in the match.
Shame for Sasha though. She's not been in a Rumble since 2018!
2018 - rumble iron woman 2019 - vs Ronda 2020 - injured 2021 - womens champ 2022 - injured

Since Becky was supposed to have cheated to beat Liv at Day 1, I’m expecting Liv to win the triple threat and then Bianca to get the Mania match with Becky.

Hmm, I wonder if asking Mickey to come back was to take Sasha's spot?

I’m also wondering if they’re trying to pull a mini-Cena here by saying 6-8 weeks and then having Sasha show up at number 30 and win the Rumble in 3 weeks.

I hadn't considered that but it would make sense. If Charlotte is dominating the Rumble and people are dreading the thought of her winning it then Sasha unexpectedly coming out at number 30 to eliminate her and win would get a massive pop and help kick off their feud.

Io is probably one of the most protected women in all of WWE right now. She's used pretty frequently on NXT 2.0 as well. It was mentioned elsewhere, but Io has only lost a handful of times since signing over two years ago. And WWE is also likely shopping around for a new TV deal for the Japanese market as well. I'd also argue she has the most momentum of any woman in NXT right now that isn't Mandy Rose, and we all know Mandy isn't winning anything on the main roster any time soon.
