WWE does stuff like this when it benefits all parties involved. It’s happened before and it’ll more than likely happen again in the future.

Impact has a PPV tonight, and (I presume) TV tapings tomorrow and Monday. Very reasonable chance she’s no longer champion come Rumble but still pretty wild to see them acknowledge her as Knockouts Champ

I can see Mickie doing the rumble, then returning to impact, then AEW brings her in for a one shot deal. First person in history to be on all three shows within a week or months time.

Roman Reigns, his title could be in jeopardy if the winner of tonight's rumble chooses to face him at Wrestlemania. Oh man, It's now time we take to the main stage for superstar hip hop artists The Migos!"

Scott D'Amore hinted at something at Hard To Kill. I could see WWE sending someone with a history with Impact making a one-off appearance there.
Maybe AJ Styles? That'd be pretty cool to see him come back "home," and I think any beef he had with Impact was mostly because of Dixie being Dixie.

So there are some people over Mickie James liking a tweet saying that WWE did more for Impact women going though the Forbidden Door than AEW...

So there are some people over Mickie James liking a tweet saying that WWE did more for Impact women going though the Forbidden Door than AEW... I mean, the specific wording of the tweet was how the forbidden door never included women which a) not true, even with the stuff involving Impact which I can agree with was lacking and b) they likely wouldn’t have called Mickie at all if they didn’t fire her and a bunch of other women and realized they actually needed to fill the match with people.

They easily could’ve just reached out to any number of former women’s stars or used another NXT competitor. It’s not like she had them over a barrel.

I’m not saying they did so it’s weird for you to imply that, I’m more saying these sorts of deals likely wouldn’t have happened if that wasn’t the case since, like, she’s likely the biggest name they could have gotten who was still active and wasn’t someone like Gail Kim who had a grudge, whether you agree with it or not. And like I said previously, everyone benefits from it. Mickie gets a payday, Impact got a Fox plug and WWE fills a spot they needed to for the match.

I was going off your prior post where you said WWE is very desperate and Mickie took them to the ringer to make it way more of a benefit to her than them.

Is it really an Impact “partnership” if she’s not really contracted by Impact. I know it’s their belt, but isn’t Mickie an NWA wrestler?

I think Mickie only did the EmPowerrr show for NWA and she's been on Impact about weekly. Granted, I don't follow NWA much because I don't think it's good. But it'd be weird for her to be in Impact that regularly without any sort of contract. Even if it's something like Mercedes Martinez managed where she's in both AEW and Impact.
And like I said in a previous post, Scott D'Amore hinted at someone maybe showing up at Hard To Kill. This wouldn't even be the first time WWE and TNA/Impact did something together, though I don't think this is going to be even a short-term partnership. Probably just a couple of one-off appearances like then-TNA wrestler Ric Flair being inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in exchange for then-WWE wrestler Christian Cage making a TNA return.
Though I do like that this sort of reinforces Impact being the center of the wrestling multiverse over the last year or so between New Japan, AEW, AAA, NWA, and now ROH and possibly WWE.

I'm gonna say this, when the WWE fires someone and sends them their shit in a trash bag....then that person works a show for them again when they come calling...
There's a reason the WWE thinks there's no consequences for their actions.

There's a reason the WWE thinks there's no consequences for their actions. I will say it's sort of unfair to assume that mostly because of what Mickie and Impact got out of the deal. Because if they truly, actually got away with it, Impact wouldn't be mentioned at all. And that's not to say WWE were desperate but they didn't get entirely their own way in it.

So SOMETHING good did come out of this.

What has to be said about that, though, was that Mickie and Jillian Hall were two people that said for as much as people didn't like Carrano, he wasn't even the person who did the bag stuff in the first place so we still don't really know the full story of that. I think Molly said something too but I'm not 100% on that and I might have mixed it up with her comments about the bag stuff.

I'm not gonna say you're wrong but if that very thing happened to me I wouldn't work that show..no different than I wouldn't go back to a job that shit on me. It just lines up that the WWE shits on people because they'll go back.
