Cody Rhodes for sure. Guy is a solid hand in the ring, charismatic on the mic, & has the Rhodes family legacy. As much as I always think you can like or dislike whoever you want, some of the reasons people give baffle me. 'They try to make him a star', uhhh, yeah, that's the point isn't it? Plus, he's a huge Zelda fan, which gets him points with me. Brandi Rhodes too, but my reasons are a bit more uhh, superficial than Cody. She's beautiful, sue me. X-Pac - I always liked him as the scrappy underdog 1-2-3 Kid, then he joined the coolest faction in the world (nWo), then he jumped back to WWF & again joined the ultra-cool DX faction. Always good for a cruiserweight match in an era where it was uncommon. Miz - this boils down to when he first became WWE Champion. There's a long-running UK children's TV show called 'Blue Peter', & Miz appeared on it in character. He made the host of the show wear his merch & run errands for him, it was hilarious. I *knew* we’d find common ground on something. I’m another Brandi booster. She honestly has a better spear than Edge and his Running Hug.

- I don't think anyone was annoyed by him but I was always much higher on James Storm as a champ/star than Roode. I liked Roode too, but I just felt like Storm had a more unique personality and cooler look.
- Sean Waltman. Took me getting older and listening to shoots to really get an idea of how good he is, super under-appreciated. He was basically the gate keeper for new talent in the New Generation era. If they could go with Kid then they were in. I hate the term "X-Pac heat" with a passion. I do get why people didn't like his mic work though. It did seem forced and kind of timid. Hard to not be like that though whenever you're paired with Hall/Nash or HHH/HBK on either side of you haha.

Charlotte. Even if her booking has puzzled me on several occasions, bathing in the salty tears of her haters does wonders for the skin.

I’ll second Stephanie when she’s a wrestler or ring side manager. She’s not as interesting when she’s commissioner, but in the ring she’s amazing at getting heat and she can be carried by better workers. Plus her facial expressions are underrated. Stephanie circa 2000-01 (til H got hurt) was just *awesome* as a bitch heel. As for her in-ring stuff? She's not by any means a technical wizard out there, but she's better than she has any right to be given her level of training. That mixed tag match vs Angle/Rousey was shockingly good No Way Out 2001 v Trish Stratus was shockingly entertaining considering neither were trained wrestlers at the time. Her Summerslam 2014 match was entertaining too although a bit embarrassing for Brie Bella. She was a full-time wrestler and was completely outclassed by non-wrestler Stephanie who hadn't worked a match in over a decade.

Always thought James Storm had top tier potential, whereas I never saw that in Roode, and Waltman was extremely obnoxious to me in his day, but in retrospect I think he was a great talent.

Essa Rios was consistently putting on bangers, and the audience either didn't care or actively booed him for being out there.

I freely admit he has some of the worst t-shirts ever, and he was probably the least over dude in the match where he won the ROH World Title, but I'm a Matt Taven fan. Maybe not Face of the Company, but I like his ring work and his promos and completely buy him as an upper card/occasional main event kinda guy.

Another vote for Buff, he was the stuff. I forgot to mention him on the earlier post in this thread. I've met him 5 times and I even texted him during his last personal issues, and he replied. He is a super nice man. He truly loves his fans. He believes in his character like Bret Hart and Warrior and believes in the character's connection with the fans. He can have a crowd of one fan or a hundred or five hundred fans but he will always give those fans his best and show them kindness. He did some sort of show recently and had just a handful of fans but did the American Males theme song with them and he enjoyed every minute of it. The best story I have is driving with a worker to an indy show and the man was a huge Marcus fan. He had a photo of the two of them from almost 20 years prior. The fan was working the show for the signing portion with so many legends but all he cared about was getting his photo with Marcus signed. When the autograph portion ended and the match portion began, the man was backstage and someone introduced him to Marcus. Marcus was very humble and introduced himself as if the man didn't know who he was. He was happy to see and sign the picture. I know he gets a lot of crap I guess because he thinks himself as a bigger star than he was and maybe because of some personal issues but he truly loves his fans and no matter how many wrestlers I've met, he's one of the top guys I've seen who truly has a loving friendship with the fans.

I like Stephanie, too. Not so much when she's in Authority mode, but when she's acting faceish and showing off her goofy side. She can be quite likable.

I have been a fan of Baron Corbin since he got choked out by Joe.
Nice watch. Mine's better.
Go back to Ring of Honor!

I was a Buff mark as a kid so this makes me happy[/quote] I'm glad. Every once in a while I'll look through my texts to delete some, see a number that isn't saved and wonder who it is-it's Marcus with a simple reply thanking me for being a fan and I keep it on my phone. That's who he is-he's a man who loves his fans. I don't know how or why any wrestling fan can dislike this man? He is totally in to the wrestling fans and respects us. And yes, the man was a "mama's boy" and thank god this man had that kind of relationship with his mother. I'm sure there's many people who have had bad relationships with parents and wish they could have a bond as special as Marcus and his mom Judy.

I already posted my two earlier (James Storm, Sean Waltman), but after skimming through a few videos I remembered a dude I definitely forgot..
Kevin Nash.
People love to shit on him as a low drawing champ in the New Gen era of WWF, beating Goldberg's streak (he denies booking that.. who actually knows?) and for taking part in the Fingerpoke of Doom, but if you really do watch his material, he's pretty f***in fire. He worked great as a big guy, had good matches with mostly all of the top talent he was booked with. For even further review, I highly recommend y'all to watch the videos of him helping teach at different territories. He's a little off base with how shit would look in a 'shoot' but he's otherwise super adept at psychology. He gets knocked all the time for being 'lazy' but why would a seven footer be running around like crazy? Not to mention he's like, a legit phenomenal storyteller and his full length shoots are pretty captivating. People also forget how over he really was during the Wolfpac days. Women would die when he came out, and tons of dudes tried to dress like him in the audience. There's an arguable reason that he was called "Big Daddy Cool". Cause he was cool as shit, and it worked.
