Essa Rios was consistently putting on bangers, and the audience either didn't care or actively booed him for being out there. Still can't figure out why WWF wasted Essa Rios like they did. He was as good as most of the luchadores in WCW. But it felt like after he made his first appearance the focus shifted from him to Lita. ANother I love that most of the local fans hate is King Rob Love. Had a few shows now where during intermission or after the show had people in the crowd come up and ask "Why ya cheering that rotten King guy. Dis is Murrica we aint go no kings" What can I say I love any wrestler that knows how to work the crowd. And Rob Love is a master of working the crowd.

It is always that As far as Lita, though, he got Meroed

I already posted my two earlier (James Storm, Sean Waltman), but after skimming through a few videos I remembered a dude I definitely forgot.. Kevin Nash. People love to shit on him as a low drawing champ in the New Gen era of WWF, beating Goldberg's streak (he denies booking that.. who actually knows?) and for taking part in the Fingerpoke of Doom, but if you really do watch his material, he's pretty f***in fire. He worked great as a big guy, had good matches with mostly all of the top talent he was booked with. For even further review, I highly recommend y'all to watch the videos of him helping teach at different territories. He's a little off base with how shit would look in a 'shoot' but he's otherwise super adept at psychology. He gets knocked all the time for being 'lazy' but why would a seven footer be running around like crazy? Not to mention he's like, a legit phenomenal storyteller and his full length shoots are pretty captivating. People also forget how over he really was during the Wolfpac days. Women would die when he came out, and tons of dudes tried to dress like him in the audience. There's an arguable reason that he was called "Big Daddy Cool". Cause he was cool as shit, and it worked. Nash is one of those guys that require a distinction: He's not a great wrestler per se, but he's a tremendous worker because of everything you said above. Personality wise? He reminds me of a good buddy of mine. Like, yeah you know that he's a bullshitter at times, but he's just so damn charming and such a great storyteller that you don't mind. Ya know what, give me a Nash podcast and I'd listen to the hell out of it

I'll agree. During her time in 2000-2001 where she was in the ring, she was great, especially during her feud with Stratus. That feud looked like Stephanie was going to become a legitimate wrestler. They both were relatively inexperienced at the time (Trish even moreso) and they both carried each other in their matches. It won't go down as a classic, but it was a goddamn miracle how decent the Steph vs Trish match at No Way Out 2001 was. The McMahons in general are like the Nash talk that;'s just been going on, even if they're not great technicians, they get the personality and psychology down, well apart from Shane, he mainly just liked doing mad stuff. Leads to far better matches than people expect.

Heel Jonathan Coachman was the perfect stooge-type character, especially when he was fresh off the heel turn. He was the most uncool person on the planet and I loved it.

Does Disco Inferno count? I guess most of his hatred comes from the opinions of Glenn Gilbertti of today. Though I liked his stupid shit like the invisible man or Bill Ding.

I didn't hate him but he annoyed me because he just seemed like such an average talent with a cheap heat gimmick that anyone could have done. Honky Tonk Man lite. Plus, it seemed like the intention of his character was literally to just annoy the piss out of the fans. He didn't do anything truly dastardly like hitting people with guitars. He just took a lot of breaks during his matches to dance and usually lost because he just couldn't help but break out those two dance moves he probably learned from watching the trailer for Saturday Night Fever. To me he was almost a nothing, and felt like a waste of my time. Not Bushwhacker level annoying where I just want to scream at the television but far from "Haha that guy is so annoying, I love it."

Keiji Mutoh in 2021/22
He can’t do much but, he does very well in tag teams, is still a draw, and is still one of the best pure in-ring storytellers in the industry.

Deuce, Domino, and Cherry. God DAMN I loved everything about them. I thought a feud between them and LAX would have been fantastic. A tag team influenced by LA street gangs vs. a team influenced by 1950s street gangs. I would have loved it.

It's currently Cody Rhodes. He might be my favorite active wrestler.
Also, I think he gets more apathy than hate but I am way higher on Jay Lethal than most folks.
