That sucks, though given his health problems with performing and his age can't really claim to be very surprised. Definitely going to be missed though.

Hell of a career. Seemed like he was having a lot of health issues, so I can't say I am super surprised or anything, but still.

That’s exactly what I was going to post when I saw the news. I was at this show—WWE’s final event at the Civic Arena. RIP.

A remarkable performer who transformed and stayed relevant for 4 decades. A true one of a kind talent and will be surely missed. RIP.

Knew he was in poor health for a while, but not something you want to hear about regardless. RIP.

First concert I ever went to was him in Manchester. Was originally delayed due to his heart issues, but going to see him was an utter blast. Been following his music off an on almost my entire life, so this hits more than others. RIP to the man, fantastic talent.

I was lucky enough to meet him in 2018, you could tell there was health issues there but he took his time with each and every fan queuing to meet him

Shattered. His and Jim Steinman's work was a huge part of my childhood and helped define my musical taste. I had the chance to meet him a few years back at London Film And Comic Con, and they underestimated how popular he was. Massive queues, and yet he still took the time to make the experience personal for everybody, working through his lunch break to do signings. He signed my copy of Braver Than We Are, what's now his final album, and talked about how proud of it he was, and how he wanted to get the track 'What Part Of My Body Hurts The Most' on - stopping to ask if I'd seen the Bat musical which included it, with me in full cosplay as the main character of said musical. Just a one of a kind voice and performer, and he'll be so missed. Can't help but think of his tribute article in Rolling Stone after Steinman's death last april. Kinda prophetic now.
