WWE has no idea what it’s doing. Dave said yesterday that Ronda WASN’T facing Charlotte.
Also this better not mean that Sasha gets stuck doing nothing of note at Mania. You know, like Bayley did last year.

Even if Becky and Ronda didn't go one on one they spent three months having a feud with some of the absolute piss worst material involved; let's not pretend it's a fresh and untapped market.

From the moment Ronda debuted at Royal Rumble 2018 Vince's dream match has been Ronda v Charlotte at Wrestlemania. It was obviously the plan for Wrestlemania 35 and it probably sticks in his craw that he was forced to change it due to Becky's popularity so of course he would go back to it.
I have no idea who people are supposed to cheer for though. Neither are likeable as faces. At least a Becky/Ronda heel v heel feud would result in Becky being cheered like a face but Ronda v Charlotte in front of a smarky Wrestlemania crowd I don't know how the crowd would react. They better hope people don't turn on the match and just chant for Becky/Sasha/Bayley.

-People are tired of Charlotte getting showcase title matches EVERY year almost.
-Ronda was a heel when she left as well.
-Sasha, the most popular woman at least on SD, might get shoved to the side again for Charlotte’s sake. Not to mention Naomi (also popular) and the other women on SD.
-Becky vs. Ronda is the match people wanted to see.
-Etc.
If this happens, it’s purely because Vince wants it.

Becky v Ronda shouldn't really happen this year either though. Becky needs closure for this heel run (putting over Bianca at Wrestlemania) before she can go back face so saving Becky/Ronda for next year makes sense. Sasha is the person really getting screwed if this is true. Ever since the draft they've kept this thing with her and Charlotte bubbling in the background, presumably leading to Wrestlemania. And that wasn't a bad idea. Sasha got a great reaction last night and would again if she won the Rumble and beat Charlotte for her first ever big Wrestlemania win but now that looks unlikely if these reports are to be believed.

Unless they give her a proper showcase match, like against Trish or Lita maybe, to make up for it.

I'm fine either way, but if she does return, leave that awful worked shoot bullshit at the door. They had a simple and great wrestling story with her and Becky a few years ago before they ruined it because simple wrestling stories aren't what people want, pal.

If (I'm still saying if and not when because Meltzer has been wrong about a lot of WWE stuff in the past year or so) it's Ronda v Charlotte at Wrestlemania hopefully they'll do the old Angle/Michaels thing with Ronda eliminating Charlotte then Charlotte illegally re-enters to eliminate Ronda. Ronda will already be due her title match anyway for eliminating the champion and being screwed over so someone else (Bianca) can win the Rumble and you kill two birds with one stone and spotlight both the Raw/Smackdown title feuds for Mania.

Vince wanted Charlotte vs. Ronda at Mania all along. He was forced to add Becky later because she got THAT over. I wouldn’t be surprised if it has always stuck in his crawl that he wasn’t able to do the match he wanted. So now he will do it this time no matter what.

The Survivor Series match between Charlotte and Ronda was incredible, that's the only reason I don't completely hate the idea.

I mean, if we’re talking about story logic, Ronda/Becky’s the play because Becky fluked a win against her (essentially) and didn’t make her tap as she claimed she would.
But either combination doesn’t really grab me personally so eh.

If for some reason they don't want Sasha to beat Charlotte, then it should be Alexa vs Charlotte with Alexa getting revenge.

You know, like Bayley did last year. Or maybe WWE knows what their doing, and Dave was misled. You may not like it, and that's okay and beyond understandable, but to our chagrin, WWE knows what's its doing.

Doubtful that Trish will come back for Mania except for a backstage segment or something (though of course that probably means I'm completely wrong lol)

Because she's a celebrity that will bring in money. I don't like it but I think it's easy to understand why.

Yeah that and whatever we think of their pushes or whatever Charlotte can have some good/great matches and Ronda was quite good in the year she was around in-ring wise. I wouldn't have too many complaints about seeing it.

Charlotte has looked a lot less impressive in the ring since then. And she seems to phone it in in general a lot these days. So IDK if a rematch would live up to the first one.
I mean maybe it could, but I wouldn’t assume that it would at least.
