Its been one of my favorite spots since I first got into wrestling as a kid. Even when you haven't fully grasped what a "work" is, you immediately know they're going to suddenly find their strength again on the third one, but you can't help but be hyped for it.

But then you get the CM Punk/MJF finish where the hand drops, and you go OH SHIT, for the ref to see the blatant choke item and restart Those are awesome to do if you do them right, and they sure did

It was a really cool callback to Punk's match vs. Jimmy Rave in ROH. It was a great spot on its own, too, just that much cooler knowing what it referenced on top of that.

Yeah, I love this spot and wish they'd do it more frequently, even if it is hokey as hell.

I remember being annoyed how they only would raise the arm up once for the Masterlock and if it dropped immediately called for the bell

I remember being annoyed how they only would raise the arm up once for the Masterlock and if it dropped immediately called for the bell True, though I guess the idea is that if someone WAS really in that situation, doing all three arm lifts might mean they get brain damage or something, but that does also mean kind of shitting on all the times they do have the three lifts. I did like how Jericho and Darby ended by ref stoppage due to him being in the Walls of Jericho AND with his wrists bound, with the idea being that it means there was no realistic way Darby could defend himself anymore in that situation, so TKO, I guess.

I think Hogan dropping the arm 3 times for Lesnar was the first time I’d actually seen that happen. I was stunned at the time. Think it put Brock over huge.

I had flashbacks to the Donst/Hallowicked hair vs. mask match when they did that lol
