No guarantee he'd go there, but he's definitely a guy who can wear many hats.
Would you have him strictly behind the scenes as a talent scout/trainer? The neutral-party authority figure who shows up once every few months to announce big matches? Or would you have him paired with an AEW talent?
If we're going the latter, I could see him being the equivalent of Arn for Pac. Not because they're both British, but The Bastard and The Original Villain seems like a perfect pairing. I could theoretically see it as something to go with the Death Triangle/House of Black storyline. Pac makes a decision to make himself even more sadistic and mean, and got the best.

The first two for sure, Regal's got a great record for scouting from what I remember, especially being at PWG shows as recently as last year and he could be the Tony Khan rep so it doesn't have to be Schiavone doing it every time.

The first two would be the best suited for Regal given his track record.

Have him as a manager determined to coach some young guy to the world title to make up for the fact he never won the big one himself.
Shortly after his guy gets the title, Regal gets jealous and turns heel/gets a one off shot at the title.

Official commissioner of the Duchess on Queensbury memorial championship.
The Duchess has died and in her will bequeathed the coveted title to Regal. Each week on one of the web shows he picks the challenger and makes up the stipulation the title will be defended under. Sometimes serious, other times comedy, or just things like no touching the ropes match.
He's on commentary throughout.

I just want him to say “BLOOD AND GUTS” like he used to do with War Games.
It won’t be quite the same but it’d be pretty close, I’d reckon.

He would be great as a talent scout. I'm conflicted on if I'd want him as Tony Khan's representative or as a manager, though. Him and Bryan training and coaching Lee Moriarty and Daniel Garcia would be absolutely amazing. Plus, the on-screen GM role is played out and he did it for seven years. I'd like to see him do something different.

He'd be great in a similar role to Arn and Tully. I'm sure he'd be an excellent occasional authority figure, but I don't think AEW needs one. The occasional references to Tony Khan (without him appearing on screen) work, IMO.

It wouldn’t even need to be a GM role since you can still have interviewers announce matches to people and get reactions, more of a way to make people go “Regal’s here, must be a big f***ing deal”.

Oh yeah, that makes sense completely. And don't get me wrong, Regal is awesome in a role like that. I just think it would be interesting to see him and Danielson working together, and mentoring the next generation in a way. Now that they teased it last week, I want that f***ing stable!

Talent scout/trainer and authority figure who only shows up once in a while are what I think he should be in AEW.

Manager to Danielson's stable Commentary guy here and there Absolutely as a talent scout and someone trusted backstage Regal putting together his own faction, Taz-style (with Danielson as its in-ring head) seems like the best way to go, yeah. I kind of like the idea of a bunch of tough legendary figures taking talent they like under their wing and making full-on fight teams out of it.

Give him some role backstage as an agent or whatever he did in NXT besides his on screen stuff. The guy can offer so much. I like the manager for Bryan's stable idea. But if that stable is Bryan and Mox they don't need him to talk for them. Coaching a young talent in the group sure.

You dont need need to talk for then,he is there to play the role of the wise veteran that knows all the tricks in the book. Plus he could still talk for the younger ones.
