John Morrison trying and failing to make Mr. Ziggles a thing as a way to mock Dolph Ziggler. Think they should've gone the Pokémon route with Zigglipuff.

Maybe not aborted since he kept saying it nearly every promo since 2013 but Undertaker's "Diggin' Holes, Taking Souls". He's one of my favorite but that was just the meh-est of meh.
It's also dangerously close to my catchphrase; "Diggin' Souls, Taking Holes"

Not necessarily a catchphrase, but remember that two week period where R-truth changed his theme song? His music started playing after a match and he said "Naw naw, they've heard that one already, let's give'em something fresh!" I don't even remember how the song went, although I'm pretty positive the phrase "Bout time for me to get crunk" was the opening line. But nobody sang along so they quickly went back to "What's up?" (Inter-spliced are commentary soundbites at their absolute oldest and whitest and most WWE-est) Given that crunk means "crazy drunk", it's really funny that this flew under the radar of the super-sanitized PG era of WWE.

Booger Red Boomer Red Whatever it was. That's not an aborted catchphrase, that's an aborted nickname.

I always thought James Storm "Sorry bout your damn luck!" was cringe, but I don't know if it was aborted. Not in the slightest. It was part of the entrance theme for Beer Money Inc., he said it when the team was heel, he said it when the team was face, he said it when the team ended. It was his catchphrase for years. wasn't just PART of his entrance theme... his big Electric Rodeo rip off was CALLED Sorry bout your damned luck. Bob Holly kept calling himself the Big Shot for a while but it just wasn't over they call you the big shot? Well what they should do is take that O and replace it with one of my three I's! It's True.. it's true. I think that was the last time we heard Holly call himself the Big Shot... Oh on that note... when Kurt left the WWE and tried to replace it to It's Real, it's real. Even The Rock one of the greatest mic workers in the world couldn't get "Popcorn Fart" and "Watch Your Lips" successfully over. John Cenaâs IMO is one of the GOATs on the stick, but âCM Sucksâ wasnât happening. Part of me suspects it was a Vince idea because he looked annoyed when having to use it. that absolutely reeks of someone backstage that realized CM Sucks sounds like Cena Sucks and they were going to try and claim that's what they were chanting.

Wasn't this Beyond Boring Mike Sanders' thing? "You're gonna be SOL and you know what that means..." Then him and the NBT's inexplicably quack like a duck afterwards. I was obsessed with this because SOL makes me think of Satellite of Love. And hey, Mike/Joel was kind of the other SOL when they were shot into space... Other ones... Va-Chyna Envy Speaking of Get It?, John Laurinatis' long-winded phrase belongs here, no? That SOL thing drove me crazy as a kid. Sanders & Nash would be all cheeky as f*** ââŠAND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANSâ. Itâs shit out of luck. thatâs it. Thatâs the thing.

Creepy Little Bastard and CLB absolutely caught on, that followed him around for awhile during his first WWE run. Shit, Iâm pretty sure itâs been tongue in cheek referenced in AEW (or the AEWEU I canât remember) It's weird I was thinking about CLB earlier today and how people act like the crowd never chanted it at Christian... It wasn't like massively over but at the very least when Austin started doing the CLB thing towards him the crowd joined in.

I swear there was a guy who had something like, 'if you don't know me, blow me!' or something similar, but it might be a fever dream. Pretty sure you misheard Rick Steiner "If you don't like me, bite me" catchphrase

Iirc that one was partially bad because it was an early rare comeback appearance, he had all that time to come up with something, had the crowd in the palm of his hand, building to the punchline and... Oh dear. So confident in it's genius they had these shirts ready to go.

It reminds me of when people shat on "tater tots" from Roman towards Sheamus when the crowd did in fact respond to it and even chant it, though that was mostly a one-off, anyway. This was during the time period when people were so frustrated with Roman that they'd get mad at virtually anything he did, though, like someone here or elsewhere talking about what a piece of shit he was for... looking at his phone in a backstage segment? It was a heated time.
