When I first read this, I thought, "WTF?! Why?" But after thinking about it for a little while, I think I know where they are going with this: it's all about Vince being kicked in the nuts. It sounds silly, I know (but so does the entire match) but I think this is all about Vince recreating his own most famous Wrestlemania moment, that being when Linda McMahon rose from that wheel chair and kicked him in the nuts. The bell will ring, Pat will kick Vince low and pin him, saving Vince from having to take any bumps or get too physical. And for years to come, they will show the two testicle kicks back to back in Wrestlemania Moment videp packages. Why use Pat McAfee for this? Because he literally used to be a punter in the NFL. It may even get some mainstream press. This whole card, with Knoxville, Paul and now this match. It reeks so desperately of the company wanting mainstream publicity badly.

not a exact quote, but Sean Ross Sapp has been saying for awhile, WWE is a content creating company.
So this and even more celebrities makes sense. I don't hate that. I just wish the content was more enjoyable lol

This is gonna be great when the big swerve is Shane is still around and they end up giving him & Mcafee 30 minutes of generating 6,000 gallons of sweat, turning the deepest shades of purple possible, and jumping off stuff at each other.

They're really dipping way harder into the celebs and part timers than ever before this year, funny how when the product was hottest it was about angles and characters, now it's a shitty product about celebs and grandpas.

It is a sad sad time when most of the full time talent is going to be relegated to shitty battle royales (and that is generously thinking they even make the show) and celebs and part timers are the ones getting the big matches...I mean for f*** sakes Knoxville is looking to be getting an IC title match at Mania. Oh well they only got themselves to blame when more talent walks away from this company.

WrestleMania itself was built around celebrities so I don’t see that as a big departure from what it stands for. And that was when the product was at its hottest in the 80s. And even when it was its hottest in the 90s (98 and 99), they still had celebrity involvement with Tyson, Butterbean, Pete Rose, Gennifer Flowers, Ice T.

It must feel great for all those full time roster members to be reminded every year just how little Vince actually values most of them.
Especially since they’re stuck trying to carry the shows the rest of the year.

I bet Vince will still have better cardio than Shane in 2022.

It's almost like they don't want us to watch Mania.

Vince looked terrible against Bret Hart, and that was like 10 years ago.
He looks like a moderate gust of wind would crumble him to dust when he appears on TV these days.

It's almost like they don't want us to watch Mania. But they will. Including people on this very forum. No matter how sleazy they are, How tired and repetitive the product is, or how awful the matches are. In fact, I'm betting it'll be the highest-grossing WM to date.

I'd take all these reports more seriously if they'd come before the announcement that Vince is going on McAfee's show.
