{Spoiler}I can’t wait, man! I need this! {Spoiler}I'm super hyped for this episode. Lower Decks has really grown on me after a very iffy start, the Strange New Worlds cast have proven to be very adept at comedy, and Jonathan Frakes is directing. The stars are aligned.

I haven't even watched SNW and I'm meaning to get into it pretty much entirely for the crossover.

So does that mean we might see Carol Marcus this season? That'd be pretty cool. And I liked who they got for T'Pring in S1.

Wonder who they'd get to play her, since they don't seem to like to pull a Radar from M*A*S*H and have movie actors reprise the role, so no Alice Eve even if I think she could still pull it off for original timeline as she did Kelvin (and hell, Jack Crusher's actor in "Picard" played younger if age is a problem). Completely different side tangent: I don't want them to ever make another live action Dragon Ball movie anytime soon, but if they had to, Alice Eve I think would be perfect for Android 18.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Yup, that's my new favourite Starfleet uniform. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Though I doubt we'll see it in this episode, I am curious what the sciences and operations versions would look like in live action.
EDIT: Also for some reason, Jack Quaid's smile there makes me think that if he were to play a live action Trek character more often, he could easily be done up as a Vorta.

The American YouTube channel for Paramount Plus has put the entirety of the first season up on YouTube for free so here's the first episode for you lucky bastards good folks.

For anyone in the UK or Ireland and don’t have a Paramount+ account, the P+ YouTube account for that region is now also uploading every episode of SNW Season 1 three days before the new season kicks off so as I did for the Yanks, here it is for the Brits and the Eires.

I should really try to cram on the first season before the new one starts up, watched the first episode a bit back and really enjoyed it but not really gotten around to the rest. Maybe'll turn it on later today.

Glad this is back. Loved the first episode of S2.
I've said this before, but the stand alone episode format REALLY helps new Star Trek viewers, like me, get into it. Spock as the captain for the day was a lot of fun.

God, the last 10 minutes of this new episode made me feel like I could run through a wall. Yetide Badaki, take a goddamn bow.

Got around to watching the new episode yesterday afternoon. That was courtroom drama worthy of Measure of a Man. And Neera's defense strategy was a thing of beauty. Almost Xanatos Gambit-esque.

My one complaint about this episode were the lazy Canada jokes that I would expect from a second rate sitcom. Canada is cold! Everyone is so polite!
They did manage to work Poutine in though, so that helped a bit.
Otherwise it was an enjoyable if predictable episode and it was nice to see Na'an get some development that wasn't Gorn related.
