Eli Cottonwood was tall, but had no muscle definition. And his face looked like you ordered Andrew WK from Wish.com.

Kamala, maybe because my only exposure to him was the WWF.
But he didn't seem that big, his facepaint and mannerisms were just goofy, he seemed to have 0 muscle.
Other rotund giants, guys like Earthquake, Bam Bam, Vader something about the fat seemed more solid, they seemed actually strong and scary.
Then there was the Undertaker feud when he came back where he was a total joke from start to finish.

Things have improved for W. Morrissey in this regard, but I felt this way about him when he was Big (C)Ass.

Whoever the douchebag behind Tyson Kidd was for that week. Was it Jackson Andrews? Jackson Andrews, yeah, who supposedly got basically ejected from wrestling for being a domestic abuser. He had buff arms, but I don't really remember much else about him, nor do I remember if he ever had a match. I remember Andrews getting squashed by Mark Henry right before WWE released him. Beardless Braun Strowman looked like Samwell Tarly which did him no favors. I'd say Mick Foley and George Steele didn't look intimidating especially when you put them in the ring with guys buffer than they were, but they used character work to become menacing.

Yeh I wouldnt say Mick Foley is a monster in that sense. His character was monstruous due to his psych and personalolity but he wasnt a "wrestling monster"

Vladimir Kozlof. He looked like he was trying so hard to be intimidating. Plus they gave him those white trunks. He looked like a toddler in his underwear after his bath pouting about having to go to bed.

Tugboat/ Typhoon had goofy uncle face.Giant Silva looked like Weird Al stretched by a funhouse mirror. I second that, he comes off as that fun uncle. Him acting as a monster heel as Typhoon seemed so forced.

Keith Lee is a heck of an athlete but that is also the reason I do not take him for anything more than a big teddy bear...Almost the same smiling visual I get when I think of the Big Show.

Yeah, Bam Neeley has to take the prize. He wouldn't have been intimidating if he came to the ring with an M4 Carbine under each arm.

He looked like a toddler in his underwear after his bath pouting about having to go to bed. He was somehow more intimidating when teaming with Santino, maybe because he stopped trying so hard.

The early Mankind days did ramp it up with the mask, and as Cactus Jack, he did look like a bit of a wildman. George Steele wasn't an impressive size, but I guess he was a monster in terms of ramping up the freak side of it, between the excess body hair and antics.

Nailz was scary looking. Cartoon scary, but yeah. Gigante/Gonzalez, definitely. Either you get a real tall normal guy or a wacky Slim Goodbody yeti. Albert/A-Train. I just want to give him a big hug, ala Eric Stonestreet. Tugboat/Typhoon is better as a face for a reason.

The Yeti deserves mentioning. A big guy who appeared to be covered in toilet paper is not scary.
