Jacqueline is in and there's also Jazz they could have inducted Alicia Fox Awesome Kong/Kharma Aja Kong Jazz So there are still black women they could have inducted that IMO are stronger choices to be in the HOF before Sharmell's name should ever come up. I agree there are stronger choices. Looking at it from WWE's view though: -I'm pretty sure Alicia Fox was problematic to work with if I remember correctly. -No way do they induct Aja Kong, at least in a way where she gets treated like a big deal. -Kharma was barely in WWE. She squashed some people and was then in a mens Royal Rumble. To put together a decent video package, they'd need Impacts help. -They always seemed to treat Jazz like shit, and even would have the announcers point out that she wasn't attractive like the other women of the time. And they've given her absolutely dick in terms of Legends stuff to do.

Next time anyone says anything about Koko... Technically, Torrie Wilson usurped the Koko spot.

I really don't see the big deal about Torrie Wilson either. 2002-2003 she was somewhat a big deal. The top Diva on smackdown. is she a Trish, Lita, Alundra, Chyna trailblazer? No, but I'd say that her career popularity doesn't pale in comparison to the likes of Ivory or Molly even though the latter two were "real" wrestlers.

I think if Smackdown had a Women's title that she could've won during her time as the top diva on the show (2002-05) I don't think Torrie would really be controversial at all. She was basically Smackdown's Trish and was marketed a ton as she was constantly on magazine covers and was often featured on PPV posters and video game covers as well.

Torrie Wilson embodied the era of women's wrestling on a show where you would easily put "wrestling" in quotation marks, and even then, it was generous. RAW was the show where you had women fight for the championship, while SmackDown was the show where you saw "the hottest women on TV", which was generic buzz speak for "these ladies don't know a wrist lock from a wrist watch, so see them in thong bikinis!" I think I pointed out a few years back that the majority of Torrie's stories or feuds all seemed to involve sex or Playboy in WWE, and never about anything else.

I think this might be the worst non celebrity HOF inductee yet, even worse than Koko and Torrie Wilson. Torrie I'll give you. Though she was a major character in the end of WCW and in early 2000s WWE. Koko is an 80s character people still remember, never mind he was a JTTS. Still worthy. And...I might as well address a possible elephant in the room. Did they pick Sharmell so they can say that had a female POC in the class? I'm for stars from all types and all walks to life to get their due, but yeah, I wonder... Ethel Johnson was technically the first POC women's champion ever, and not only did WWE put her in the Legacy wing, but they used the wrong photo when inducting her.

This is the weakest induction ever that's not a celebrity.

Why are Leilani Kai and Judy Martin always getting shafted I suspect that they're unpersoned thanks to being Moolah girls.

Why are Leilani Kai and Judy Martin always getting shafted I suspect that they're unpersoned thanks to being Moolah girls. My thoughts exactly. Like I said, that countdown last year began at 1993 for a reason. It's like WWE is safeguarding themselves as far as possible away from that whole ordeal from a couple years back. I kinda wonder if classic uploads on Peacock are no longer a priority because of how problematic certain people and characters were in the eighties. (it's almost been a year since we noticed changes being made when the jump was done) Although...I am not sure it's as black and white as DSOTR and others made it out to be. I dunno, have heard things from both ends.

Yeah, I'm just as confused about this as most people seem to be. I have literally nothing against Sharmell, I just...I mean...how are you even going to make an induction video? That's not even a sarcastic question. Outside of being Booker's manager, and maybe her stint as a Nitro Girl, what memorable things did she do in the wrestling business? Again, I'm not even trying to be an asshole here, I'm just really struggling to even imagine how they're going to frame this. If I'm missing something here, then I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

After Sharmell, Rick Martel should be the next inductee.

I mean it's a hall of fame for a made up sport so... I don't get anyone getting all in a tizzy over who deserves to be there.
I wouldn't be surprised if her induction doesn't air (then again I could see them airing it by the same point)... if it's unaired the promo package doesn't really need to factor too much into it.
But I'm not really sure what really there is to say about her other than traveling on the road helped keep Booker around for a few more years.
