I really enjoy the NXT 2.0 women's division. It isn't what it once was, but I'm having fun watching talents like Ivy Nile, Tiffany Stratton, Fallon Henley, Wendy Choo, and others grow. I think there's a good balance of goofiness and serious wrestling right now.

Money In The Bank cash ins are a terrible concept that massively devalue the WWE's already pretty worthless top titles, and it isn't worth it for the momentary pop it generates. A Lucha Underground-style 'one weeks notice' would fix this. The Attitude Era was crap. "Over-romanticised" is perhaps more accurate.

Cameron Grimes is the best wrestler/character/performer in the entire company.

Once it stopped pretending to be a revival of the old ECW and became just another WWE brand, WWECW was one of the more consistently entertaining hours of wrestling around.

With a few slight tweaks to focus, WWE's got a better main event scene than AEW.

And it embodied what ECW was. It was a place for young stars to shine (Punk, Miz, Kofi, and Sheamus just off the top of my head), and for veterans to get some momentum (Mark Henry, Matt Hardy, and Christian). As much as I loved black and gold NXT, it did need something that NXT 2.0 has in spades. It needed more characters and character work. NXT 2.0 is fun and probably the best weekly show in WWE. Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey vs Triple H and Steph is a top 5 Mania match of all time for me.

I miss Enzo sometimes, even though I completely understand why they'll likely never bring him back.

I miss Enzo sometimes, even though I completely understand why they'll likely never bring him back. Enzo and Cass were great in their early NXT run, when Enzo was saying different stuff on the mic every time. Dude was funny as hell. Once they main rostered him into saying the same scripted lines every week it got old pretty fast.

I don't really like the black and gold incarnation of NXT. It had its moments but in the last couple of years of its run its matches were often the epitome of wrestlers getting their shit in, instead of having a less "spectacular" but more coherent and frankly enjoyable match.
For example, the DIY vs. Moustache Mountain match from Worlds Collide 2020. It had little/no buildup but the potential to be a pretty good standalone midcard match, only to descend into an exhausting near-fall fest with lots happening but at the same time, nothing happening. There was no dissension between DIY, no grumpy young man Ciampa being annoyed by the screwball heels, no Gargano as a babyface in peril against the wily regular team, just people kicking out of f***ing Burning Hammers. And it really, really annoyed me.

Owen was beloved and he died way too young, but I think the tragedy of his death sort of overshadows how shitty it was when he gave that piledriver to Austin despite being asked not to do it that way

At it's absolute worst, WWE is forgettable and a bit dull. How anyone finds it within themselves to get angry about it I have no idea.
Shane O'Mac is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Always mega over & almost never in a boring match.

Randy Orton is an amazing performer even when he’s bored with his programs. He just has an amazing presence, I usually find him pretty compelling even if he’s not the flashiest worker in the world.
Asuka has been treated far better than WWE than most of her fans will admit. She hasn’t been elevated above the Horsewomen, and that’s perfectly fine. She doesn’t need to be pushed over Becky or Charlotte in order for her run in the company to be considered a success.
Might not be as unpopular now, but I’m glad to see others admit they also liked Cena’s 380 day world title run. All of those angry older fans were booing some kick ass matches that in hindsight, really elevated the belt and made it feel extremely important.
If she has a good enough face to work with, I prefer Becky Lynch as a heel. I know crowds want to cheer her, but Bianca is just a much more convincing “plucky people’s champ” and can get way more sympathy.
I miss the following acts: Deuce and Domino, Enzo and Cass when they’re not getting in real life trouble, LayCool, Adam Rose, Boogeyman, Santino and his Cobra, Bo-Lieve Bo Dallas, and the Jack Swagger Soaring Eagle.
Yes, I know JBL is a shoot dickhead. Yes, his WWE Championship run had low ratings. But he’s cut some of my favorite heel promos ever, and I felt he could be a decent brawler when his cardio was up to it. That, and his promo on the Godzilla balloon was iconic. And that I Quit match with Cena was brutal, in a great way.
Finn Balor doesn’t belong in main events. The Demon is conceptually cool and he has good matches, but IMO he wasn’t even the most interesting Bullet Club leader, co-founder or not. In WWE I think he’s just fine, it’s not “get off my TV”, but he’s not a guy I’d pick if I wanted a world champion that could go on talk shows and woo the media. Paint or no paint, I think he’s always come off stiff and clunky on the mic, and he doesn’t have that level of “oomph” or grit behind him that Bret Hart had to make up for it.
Speaking of such, Miz has always been awesome. I don’t care if he’s a light worker or not, he’s one of the most fun characters WWE’s had in recent memory.

This is more of a meta-opinion, but "NXT 2.0 is a worse product than NXT Black & Gold" and "NXT 2.0 is better for WWE than NXT Black & Gold" aren't mutually exclusive opinions.

I like the Bret/Shawn Ironman match. I think this qualifies as an unpopular opinion now. The match is a masterpiece. I think its reputation has seemingly suffered in some circles because it was sooooooo praised and so different that for a few years people who first viewed it went in with not only expectations that couldn't possibly be met within the medium of wrestling, but that it was an hour-long not meeting expectations. When I revisited it last year for the first time in probably a decade or so, it was the absolute most I ever enjoyed it. I like it when it happened (albeit I was nine and watching on a VHS months after so my expectations were very low) and then I went through the mid-2000s of just seeing it become the de facto "Greatest Mania match of all time" over things like Bret-Owen that kind of lead to a "what am i missing?" backlash. But being the match was so ahead of its time and us being used to longer main events now, I think people can finally recently really appreciate just how great especially Bret's performance in this is.

I don’t know if this is unpopular for not, but the Cena 8-bit shirt is the greatest wrestling shirt since Roddy’s Hot Rod shirt.

I just don't care about old wrestlers, like Edge, Jeff, Lesnar, etc. I wanna see new talent.
