No structure here: if you want to book a whole card or just a few matches or even a segment or two, go for it, what do you want to see and/or whom do you want to see interact?
I'm trying to keep in mind that a typical NJPW card will include some prelim tag matches, especially when they do a crossover show and want to get as many people on the card as possible, so might as well work in a few of those.
-Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, and John Silver vs. Toru Yano, Master Wato, and Ryusuke Taguchi
I'd put Colt in here, but he and Yano have both faced off and tagged with each other before...so maybe Colt can play up that he's both in Dark Order AND an accidental member of CHAOS!
-Jericho Appreciation Society (Jericho, Hager, Menard, Parker, Garcia) vs. Suzuki-gun (Suzuki, Taichi, Kanemaru, TAKA, Lance Archer)
Seriously, have this end either with Garcia going over TAKA, or Garcia stepping up to Suzuki, putting up a huge fight, but getting put down by the old master.
-United Empire (Cobb, O-Khan, Henare) vs. House of Black (Black, King, Murphy)
-I know people want KENTA vs. Punk, and I do, too...but holy crap do I want Punk vs. Naito. Those two would play beautifully off one another, both as wrestlers and as characters.
-Some kind of interaction between Jay White and MJF. Come to think of it...uh, what about MJF vs. Naito? Shit, that'd be amazing, MJF trying to get him all un-tranquilo'd, Naito mentioning that he's boys with Andrade, Punk still gets to face KENTA...damnit, this is hard already.
-Darby vs. Hiromu, because c'mon, it's obvious. They'd probably want a match where the objective is to stuff yourself into a cannon and fire themselves across the Great Lakes.
-And some other matchups off the top of my head - Joe vs. Ishii, Danielson vs. Sabre, Hangman vs. Shingo, Ospreay vs. PAC...and I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out where to put El Desperado, Death Triangle, and too many others, shit.
Obvious response is Okada vs. Omega V, but no clue if Kenny will be back or if that'll get saved for down the road. What about Kota? He's hurt, too, so, uh...

I still wonder if Naito refuses to work it, considering what Shingo said about him having zero interest in American Wrestling.
That aside, I want Penta vs. EVIL, as long as there's no House of Torture BS involved.

It was said that Omega was getting sports hernia surgery at the end of March, with a 2-month recovery time. I think there’s a shot he comes back in time for this.

CM Punk vs Kazuchika Okada - I'm desperate to see this version of Bret tribute act Punk against the second best in the world.
Bryan Danielson vs Hiroshi Tanahashi - A perfect set up. Tanahashi is underrated technically and Bryan will bring out the best in him
Young Bucks vs GoD - Tama is killing it as a baby face, would be really good
FTR vs Cobb & O-Kharn- FTR are untouchable at the moment and both Cobb and O-Kharn have improved immensely
Omega vs Ospraey - I don't care how irritating the dumb worked shoot twitter stuff is, I want it.
Mox vs Naito - might have happened but this version of Mox vs Naito would be great
Joe vs Ishii - because I want good things in my life
Shingo vs Adam Page - think Shingo would bring something great out ot Page
Daniel Garcia vs Zach Sabre jnr - yes please
Sting/Allin vs Suzuki/Archer - let Allin and Archer brawl around the arena whilst Sting and Suzuki just stand in the ring and everyone applauds.
Adam Cole vs Jay White - think it just be a good match
EVIL isn't there
A big battle Royal that comes down to Cassidy, Danhausen, Toru Yano and Taichu. Yano wins.
Oh one more, Dustin Rhodes vs Yuji Nagata. Two crusty old vets who are still better than pretty much everyone having a well worked, intelligent match where every spot matters.

Hiromu Takahashi vs Sammy Guevara - Hiroku gives Sammy a masterclass in how to be what he wants to be.
El Desperado vs Jungle Boy - because why not
Oh and the show ends with MJF coming out and making fun of New Japan. Okada hits the rainmaker, main for the next one is set up.

I assume the dude will work it if the match is good, considering United Center would also be one of the largest crowds he's competed in front of, especially stateside. Everyone wants Danielson vs. Okada but I want Danielson vs. ZSJ See I don't, or at least there are giysbid rather see them work first Both of them are at their best best they work with someone with different style that they can adapt their technical stuff to. Like Sabres best opponents are Ospraey, Okada and Ibushi, he brings out a different aspect to them. That said I want Garcia vs Sabre, but mostly because I was mouthy Sabre to chew out twink Garcia making him more frustrated until he let's out his fire.. I know what I said. |

Ishii Vs PAC Vs Joe
Finnjuice Vs Mox/Yuta - Purely so Regal can berate that dirty hippy on commentary like old times
Suzuki/Maki Itoh Vs OC/Stadlander - ok barely counts and involves bringing in Maki to team up with her old partner but if there's no stardom involvement it gets women on the card
(You can probably tell I don't watch much NJPW)

Okada vs Danielson or Punk (with omega making his return at the end to set up a match with one of em - any of em - at some point down the road)
Interaction between Hook & Naito. Just to see who can be bothered to give a shit the least.
Interaction between Switchblade & MJF just to get the heel/heat version of THAT Austin pop
Anything else on top of that will be delicious gravy.
