I'm sorry, but watching Batman vs TMNT, The very LAST JOKE I EXPECTED, was "Hey creature, leave that kid alone"

In the "Eternals" movie, I was not expecting to hear Sprite compare Kingo's valet Karun to Batman's Alfred, nor was I expecting it when Phastos' little boy called Ikarus Superman.

This was pretty bizarre to show to nine year-olds on a Saturday morning cartoon show:

There are a lot of MST3K ones that'd qualify, but a Blue Velvet one in "What To Do On A Date" struck me.
"It begins with Jeff, and Kay-" "-and a human ear."

One of the live action Alvin and the Chipmunks movies has Alvin mention he's seen Pink Flamingos when meeting John Waters. Extra funny is that, at least according to John Waters, that wasn't even what he was going to say when they recorded, the line had been changed to reference the film.

A later series episode of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends had a reference to the very odd Sean Connery sci fi movie Zardoz. (IE The movie with giant stone head and Sean clad only in bright red speedos for most of the film.)

Last week's Amphibia episode having a Neon Genesis Evangelion reference of all things. Steven Universe had a lot of anime references throughout, but one of the funnier ones in my view was a box in Steven's kitchen labeled, "Revolutionary Grill Utensils", as a nod to Revolutionary Girl Utena.

I Will admit I'm full TOH but couldn't get into early Amphibia....I definitely will try again As someone who is equally a fan of TOH and what I could see as a problem in early Amphibia (pending whether that was one of the reasons you could not get into it or whether it was other stuff):
-From first impressions for me, Luz definitely comes across as a lot more likable compared to Anne who I frankly admit was definitely a bit of a jerk in the early episodes of Amphibia. I will say though...Anne now on the verge of the show ending after 3 seasons and the Anne at the beginning of the show are not the same person.

.....I accept this binge watch challenge I drink often. I shall watch this show and give it another chance. I want emotions

Rugrats has several of these.
“Stu, guess who’s coming to dinner!”

I'm sorry, but watching Batman vs TMNT, The very LAST JOKE I EXPECTED, was "Hey creature, leave that kid alone" Akin to this, I remember an extremely random South Park episode when Cartman jumped out from hiding to catch someone in the act and said, "Ha-ha, charade you are!"
