There is a term in marketing and retail called "insult pricing" that really resonates here. You're gonna tack on $99 to scribble "HOF 22" next to your name? Piss off, Taker. I wouldn't pay more than $25 for a pic with either of these guys, in any setting, and I wouldn't pay for an autograph, period. You're not THAT big a deal, fellas. And Flair charging an extra $90 to add "Nature Boy" to the signature. WTF! Does Steve Austin charge extra to add the "Stone Cold" to items he signs? I know this is half in-jest, but for the record Austin includes both "Stone Cold" and "Stunning" on his signatures for free. For inscriptions like "Austin 3:16" or "That's the Bottom Line" or "Oh Hell Yeah," it's usually only an extra $20-$40, but sometimes he throws it in for free if he doesn't like how his own signature turned out on an item as sort of a make-good added value. Bret Hart always includes "Hitman..." and only asks an extra $10 for "Excellence of Execution" or the full "The Best There Is...." inscription. Hall of Famers charging extra for adding their Hall of Fame status is something, as far as my experience has been, entirely unheardof. Everyone from Jerry Lawler to Kurt Angle to Mark Henry to Jim Ross usually includes the Hall of Fame detail for free. This is absolute insult pricing and exploitation.

Unfortunately, extras other than name only have been commonplace on the regular sports convention circuit but with these two guys I guess it may be a start. Fiterman deals with the non WWE athletes mostly so he's used to all the crazy rules that baseball, football and other athlete promoters put in place. From what little I have read about him, he comes off like that deadly fog "it's seeping in" on a Simpson's episode. He probably grew up a collector and fan just like anyone but he got a little bit of money, made some money and is sticking it to fans and collectors who were once like him.
But I do believe what goes around comes around and I do think eventually things will bottom out for him, like they did for MANY major sports dealers and he'll be just one of the fans at some point. And this isn't me having a bad experience at an autograph signing. I've met Ric Flair a few times, free and paid, always had a nice experience, I don't care to meet Undertaker unless it's free and I have to put no effort into going and I wouldn't give Fiterman a cent and even if someone's life depended on it, I'd probably find a way other than giving him my money.

Yeah even as a kid looking at the mall memorabilia store you'd see inscriptions like ROTY or HOF or 500 home runs cost extra. Personally I don't get it unless it's a piece related to that award or achievement but power to them if they get a couple extra bucks Still why the ticket thing

If the cards are "rookie" cards, having a signature from 2022 adds minimal value, some, but not the value as if the signature was from the same year.
As far as signing goes, I basically got in an argument with Foley. I bought a "package", so a "Hardcore" Mr. Socko, a 8x10 and a Cactus Jack shirt. He signed the 8x10, I said thank you and went to leave, he said, "I'll Socko too" I said, "No, Mick you signed the 8x10, that's enough" He says, "That's why I do this". So, I got Socko signed too. I paid $45 Canadian, mind you, for it all. So he probably lost money on me by the time he got US currency out of it.
I guess he's the other side of the coin.

I get most of my wrestling autographs in the WWE Encyclopedia for convenience, and Mick signed as Mick Foley, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love, but not Mankind. I didn’t bring it to his attention, so I don’t know if he just forgot or didn’t want to for some reason.

I feel honoured then. I managed to get Flair to sign my Wrestlemania 24 ticket.

On the bright side, they’ve announced more people and they’ve got a strong lineup
Ric Flair Undertaker Alexa Bliss Bella Twins Carmella Jerry Lawler Adam Cole Britt Baker Adam Scherr
And Kevin Owens and Rey Mysterio are also listed in the autograph/photo ops lineup, they should be officially announced soon.
Any sugggestions as to who, if anyone, I should try and meet?

People brought decks of shit for him to sign and he did it all without a single word. The only thing he refused was to sign a women's breast, but after polling everyone left in line, signed her pectoral.

Oddly enough, the signing I went to, the late Warrior asked everyone in line what personal message they wanted for no cost. That included what color pen they wanted it signed in. He was absolutely giving to fans more than they paid for including multiple pictures with him for the price of one. And Marty Jannetty just wanted to chat! Never mind signing stuff

Adam Cole is genuinely one of the nicest guys I've gotten a picture with. Just a damn lovely guy. And those eyes...you see them up close and you'll get it.

I think it's because someone can turn around and sell that ticket or signed rookie card for multiples of what they're paying and Fiterman/Taker/Flair don't see any of that. I think it's also a collector thing where I wouldn't be surprised if Fiterman knew or had a few of the signed rookie cards out there and they're trying to ensure the market doesn't bottom out.
