I still like the faction but the more they have the same house show type match every week the less I'm in to it. Wanna see them do something other than beat up goobers. Would love to see the Best Friends angle finally happen.

Are you kidding? If anything I enjoyed that slow motion footage of them roughing up Yuta way way too much

Now I admit due to various things I haven't really kept up as much as I have with this, so I don't know if it would work.
But...there might be at least a "short term" feud they could get into. One to even up sides, as well as give them a focus.
Have them align with Eddie Kingston and company against the Jericho Appreciation Society. Remember, Jericho's promo about his group was saying "no wrestler can beat a true sports entertainer". Well, why not have both one of the best on the AEW roster, as well as the man that beat him for the AEW World Title, step up to the plate to try to humble him (and that would be their reason to do so, Kingston and company being there is just a side effect for them).

Seems perfect if Yuta is gone for a while makes it an even 5 on 5. If you don’t count Regal that is.

They really need something to do that isn't beating up losers. It can be an angle against another stable or more recruiting, but they need some kind of story to tell now that Yuta is fully in the fold.
I'd love to see them go up against the House of Black, only with a minimal amount of spooky stuff. Just two trios teams trying to beat the shit out of each other in a series of matches and angles.

That's a pretty good idea, they could even make it a WAR GAMES! BLOOD AND GUTS match. As for Yuta being the odd man out, they could just say that Regal has taken him aside on a temporary basis to get in shape for the upcoming Best of The Super Juniors tournament. And then have Yuta work a bunch of quality singles matches against the likes of Dante, Rey and Angelico to fill that purpose.

Certainly not something anyone should hold their breath on.

I was wondering if Danielson and Mox are the equalizers that Kingston and PnP get in to even the odds vs the JAS, but that would make any potential 5 on 5 match so ridiculously imbalanced I doubt it a little. Jericho would have to replace 2.0 with a top, top tag team to even attempt to even it up and that cuts the legs out from under 2.0.

I still enjoy the hell out of the group, but I agree that they need to move past beating up low card guys. It seems like they are just in a hold pattern until they reveal the trios titles.

It seems really forced to me.
And I don't know why.
I think it's the name. "Blackpool Combat Club" looks corny as f***. For starters, none of them are from Blackpool apart from Regal. And even then, Blackpool isn't exactly a rough city lol.
I get Yuta is becoming a star out of it but honestly I'd rather he was just Moxleys new pal.
Keep Bryan out of it. He works better as the "relatable regular grabbler" than some "rough badass fight club guy" or whatever it is he's portraying right now.

I think they just need a proper story soon.

Blackpool is where Regal was born and raised, I don't know why this always brought up and people think it's so corny, this is something a lot of fight clubs do for marketing, it's the same thing here, and "Blackpool" as a name doesn't sound very corny to me especially out of context. And if you think Danielson has never been a tough wrestler who has been in bloody and vicious brawls, then you never saw his runs in Ring of Honor and the Indies, this dude is a sadist and I am so very happy to see him tapping into that again, the "relatable grappler" gimmick was fine and I loved his runs with it, but he doesn't have to stay one thing, and him being this kind of guy was the kind of guy he was for like a decade prior, it's not ridiculous. And yeah "Yuta just being Moxley's new pal" kinda like how Dean was "Roman's little buddy" for awhile when the Shield broke up, that sure gets people over, lol. No thanks, what they're doing with Yuta's made him one of the hottest young prospects in the entire world imo. He's competing in Super Juniors for a reason.

Regal is from Codsall near Wolverhampton. Blackpool conjures up images of donkeys, kiss me quick hats and old arcades. The only intimidating thing about it is the rowdy hen parties.
Maybe they can use big sticks of rock as their signature weapons.

It has some of the worst crime rates in the country.

I've seen these past few weeks as just lots of establishment work, and I get it. Especially to pad out Yuta a bit more and give him his follow-up spots to shine. I don't know if they do anything meaningful on Double or Nothing, but I wouldn't be surprised if they end up being a major story player just about the second DON is over. That feels like the cycle AEW plays in sometimes.

I still think Yuta should have had beaten Mox. Would have given him a lot more AEW credit alot quicker and added a wrinkle they could use later

I enjoy Regal as the mouthpiece, but what is tiresome is the separate entrances for each one, plus Moxley coming off like Great Value Hannibal when talking about blood and violence.
Danielson was doing incredible heel work in the ring and on the mic before this. Now, he doesn't talk as much.
They can only beat up job guys for so long. They need to get onto something proper soon.
