Most likely 

They need that babyface and I think as much Edge wanted it to work, he just wasn't getting booed like he should. It is a perfect pivot to now bring back fiery babyface Edge who can still retain some of his darkness demeanor while the Prinxe gets something to attach himself to

It never even crossed my mind that it was coming. I can't remember the last genuine shock like that. Normally turns or big moments like that are highly telegraphed. I was sure Finn was going to fool them and join to attack from within.

The best parts of Judgment Day to me were Ripley and Priest and the worst part was surprisingly Edge so I'm all for Edge conceding defeat and abandoning that gimmick. And Balor was dead as a face. He immediately feels like a bigger deal now and we've never had heel Balor on the main roster.

Kayfabe wise though it makes no sense, Edge led them to victory last night over Balor's team. Why would they side with the loser?

Rhea and Damien only turned so they could be under Edges guidance. That was their motivation.

Now they... Don't need him anymore? After ONE MONTH?

They should've just turned Finn heel and put him with Edge.

They joined Edge to be under his guidance until they realized they didn't like it. All Edge has to do is call them ungrateful and apologize to the fans for how foolish he was. Back to mega babyface

That all makes sense a few months down the line... Not a few weeks.

This stable was just getting started. It would've made way more sense for Priest and Rhea to ride Edges coat tails till they didn't need him anymore.

Now? They just look stupid as f*** for siding with a guy who just got his ass kicked last night instead of the legend with bags of knowledge.

f***ing awesome. Does it make sense? No, but it was awesome and the shit wasn't working. Edge at this point is a better babyface and Finn needed direction badly. Win-Win.

I think with Cody being out they just called a quick audible and said f*** it we will figure it out down the line. Easier for Edge to rebound as a babyface and you do have a story of him having to work his way back and earn people trust again 

They or I should Edge will make it work but this was def a scrap everything moment.
