The first feud with Christian, my evidence: 1. Only went like 2 months 2. Had great matches like the steel cage and ladder match 3. Christian won the world title 4. Del Rio lost like every match

The debut feud with Rey and the Ziggler feud that led to the double turn weren’t bad.

While I'm sure it hurt like hell that bit when he accidentally kneed Brodus in the head looked cool as hell and f*** Brodus anyway.

The best angle he ever had was that time he ran over Santa. I guess that makes Cena his best fued by default, the broken ring match was interesting too. Double turn with Ziggler and ladder match with Christian were good. Basically the only times he changed the tired formula, even then it was more circumstances than his role, except the teddy bear throw, that was all him and fantastic. Not much to show for a four time world champion, rumble winner, mitb winner...

Oh, it's that time of year where people pretend Alberto Del Rio was no good and wasn't over

I liked his feud with Big Show, but mostly because Big Show was on his A-game for that.

I'm glad this picture got posted, I thought I'd never see it again. It needs to be preserved for generations to come, along with pictures like "Goldberg Rules the Ring".

His feud initial feud against Rey was fine. I thought his feud with Big Show in early 2013 was alright too as he had just turned face and it seemed to revigorate him a bit. Then he had the Swagger feud which was a flop and then he went back to boring heel Del Rio after the double turn with Dolph.

I think the nadir was actually the Orton feud. Did it even count as a feud? They wrestled enough for one, but I'll be damned if I remember any semblance of a story behind it. But it was an incredible combination of two theoretically-talented guys who need motivated opponents to drag their best out of them spiraling down into a black hole together. streamable.com/c4o4kthe most memorable part of that feud was Orton dumping chili all over Ricardo

WWE really missed the boat with two gimmicks -
A. Instead of "Make Darren Young Great Again", use Del Rio.
B. Del Rio as a telenovela ladies man, like Santos in Jane the Virgin.

I remember seeing a promo of him talking about how it's always a great day when he gets to wail on Rey Mysterio and getting a pretty vicious crowd reaction for it.
Did they seriously never actually feud?

Did they seriously never actually feud? They feuded, though don't really recall it ever particularly going anywhere. Offhand Mysterio was Alberto's first real feud, though it just kind of stopped with both of them losing a random four way ladder match for the World title, then later on they had a mini-feud where Alberto defended the WWE title against him in Mexico. It's kind of a thing where they intersected here and there but I don't think they ever had a singles PPV match.

I liked him vs Sin Cara. It is a shame Sin Cara went away, I think they could always have someone under that gimmick.

He wasn't terrible, he was something worse - boring. On paper, dude should have been a great wrestler and he had a great look, but somehow, the product was far less than the sum of its parts. This was how I usually felt about him, outside of the first few weeks of his face turn.
