Just saying, I get he is his own man, but if I was Matt and my younger brother was f***ing up this bad, I would be whopping his ass. Matt seems his biggest enabler. Pretty much

I genuinely hope he gets help. I worry he thinks he may not need it. He said as much when he was on his brother's podcast, talking about how the WWE wanted him to go. Both of them said the 'E was way off in asking him such a thing.

He needs to be released and frankly, away from wrestling for the long haul I get it, but it’s like the old saying “Idle hands are the devil’s playthings”. Does taking him off the active wrestling roster only give him more free time to possibly act up and put other people in danger? We’ve just seen what happened with Sunny, where it just snowballed and snowballed until somebody innocent died. It really feels like he needs to restrained against his will somehow.

But he won't get meaningful help, nor will it stick. He's on like, strike 7 with this shit. You never know what will be the impetus for someone to finally get help. I’m not one for giving up on people. Nothing would make me happier than to be wrong about my concerns with him. I absolutely mean that. But until and unless the companies out there and his own family stop enabling him, I don't think he's strong enough to overcome and stay clean

Tony Khan should really need to lay down the hammer on this one. I think if Tony does not take any action, he is going to be seen as enabler for a lot of bad habits of certain wrestlers and a bit weak.

I said it in the other Hardy thread and I'll say it here: remember when people were saying AEW's lighter schedule would be good for Jeff?
"The devil makes work for idle hands" is a proverb that has always applied to Jeff, and the fact that he's been utterly destroying his body in needlessly high-impact matches since joining AEW clearly hasn't helped matters. Sadly, it feels almost like it was just a matter of time before he relapsed.
I just hope he finally gets help. Maybe get in touch with DDP?

I've been really critical of how AEW has used Jeff and how broken down he is, but man that has all come from a place of having been a fan of the guy for years. It's heartbreaking seeing him still trapped in this shit and still so clearly not well. I really hope TK sees this and takes him off TV so he can get right. If Jeff posts bail and shows up to work that ladder match I think I'm probably spacing myself from watching the show for a little while.

It's so sad that Jeff is so sick, and in so much pain, that he can't seem to fully recover. Being on the road taking bumps on an already broken down body is absolutely not helping that.
It's a tragic thing, but AEW really went out on a limb to give Jeff what has to be his absolute last chance at this point. He has to be finished with wrestling, at least until he gets his mental health and his demons sorted out. And, even then, we have to hope he's taken his last bump.

Dammit. After that WWE Network documentary where he seemed in such a good place I was hopeful that even after he was left go by WWE(I disagree with the way it was done if not the reason behind it) that he’d be good.

So, outside of jail or court ordered hospitalization, what's the answer then? Even if one of those happen and he gets clean, he's a wreck physically and I'm not sure his mind is even with being in ring anymore. Does he do creative? Like, how do we keep him busy but also look out of his well being?

3rd time as well...Likely to do some time over this one I'll believe he does time when I see it, rules don't apply to people with money.

Ugh.
And to everybody who was parroting the "Jeff doesn't really have a drug problem now, he faked it to get fired from WWE" line despite Matt saying the exact same thing about himself years ago right before his own spate of arrests? Thanks for doing your part in enabling this.

I’m not one for giving up on people. There's only so many times where he takes this gamble. He's lucky no one was hurt. If it he ends up hurting and maiming people, I'd say its time to give up and lock him up

Put the fact they're family aside, they are closely tied together in their current success. They make more money as a team, so why isn't Matt doing something to protect the team?

FFS Jeff.
Hire a cab or abs Uber or SOMETHING. You’re a 45 year old man with a family and you’re still pulling this crap.
