So what needs to be done here? Should AEW pay for Jeff Hardy's rehab? I don't know if that would do any good at this point.

I get it, but it’s like the old saying “Idle hands are the devil’s playthings”. Does taking him off the active wrestling roster only give him more free time to possibly act up and put other people in danger? We’ve just seen what happened with Sunny, where it just snowballed and snowballed until somebody innocent died. It really feels like he needs to restrained against his will somehow. So, outside of jail or court ordered hospitalization, what's the answer then? Even if one of those happen and he gets clean, he's a wreck physically and I'm not sure his mind is even with being in ring anymore. Does he do creative? Like, how do we keep him busy but also look out of his well being? I can’t answer that, because I don’t know. Remember, it’s been like 20 years of this at this point.

Between this and 73 year old Flair wrestling with a f***ing pace maker, it's a race to see who can actually die in the ring like Randy The Ram in the Wrestler

I don't even know what to say at this point.
You can tell a person they need help until you're hoarse, but that won't do any good if that person won't accept any.
This is just really sad.

Once again, DAMMIT JEFF.
People are going to argue til the cows come how about how much Matt does or doesn't enable Jeff, but either way, I can't imagine he's particularly thrilled right now, to say the least.
I have no idea how much of a relationship the Hardys have with DDP, but I'd pretty much be calling DDP to fire up the accountability crib again. Granted, the old cliche is that you have to want to change to make meaningful change, and... for as much as Jeff has fallen on and off the wagon, I can't really say I've seen him hit a point where he was obviously wanting the help? Feel free to prove me wrong, but man.

This sucks. Jeff will always be one of my all time favorites but the man is an addict. And he’s the worst kind of addict because he doesn’t think he has a problem and refuses help time and time again. It’s been said time and time again, but this might be it for him in mainstream wrestling. I don’t see him wrestling for WWE or AEW again and I’m not sure Impact would even gamble on him. Best case scenario is he goes to rehab, finally gets clean, takes the WWE HoF spot in a year or two and if he’s bored at home and absolutely needs to do something wrestling related gets some kind of backstage job with AEW or WWE or helps run a wrestling school with Matt or something. Just saying, I get he is his own man, but if I was Matt and my younger brother was f***ing up this bad, I would be whopping his ass. Matt seems his biggest enabler. During that autograph signing Wrestlemania weekend when Jeff seemed kind of wasted he literally said Matt is over-working him and taking too many bookings for them. I'm sure Matt was desperate for one more tag run with his brother but Jeff is clearly in no condition and that was obvious even beforet this news.

Get rid, and let Matt go with him. Both had their time but at this point they are just taking up space on a roster that really doesn't need them
You got your Young Bucks v Hardy Boyz and Darby v Jeff matches. I'm sure all three opponents will have had a childhood dream come true putting them over, but frankly wrestling already has too much nostalgia booking in other promotions, AEW should do better

Looks like WWe was right in wanting him to get help I mean they wanted to bring him back and put him in the HOF like three weeks after they fired him. He's popular so unfortunately he has always had the ability to keep at it because someone will always want him. Not sure how much longer that can last though.

On that bottom half, Matt's not dumb while he knows he can make money on his own... Jeff was always the star and the Hardyz is always going to make more money than Matt can on his own.

It really did feel like everyone was kind of expecting this (and with Jeff's history, how could you not) and trying to get everything out of him as quickly as possible. Team up with Sting, Darby match with no build, PPV with the Bucks. Table matches, tornado matches, no DQ matches with all his usual bumps (and a ladder match booked for this week). He’s only been there a couple of months and already checked off most of the stuff you’d expect except a tag title win which was probably coming on Wednesday.

People seem to forget that WWE offered to pay for his rehab, he decided that he was too good for that, turned around and buried them in an interview. There are a ton of things you can rightfully criticize WWE for, but this isn't one of them now.
