Superbrawl 1999 got almost 500,000 PPV buys, the third highest in company history and more than Starrcade two months earlier. There's a general consensus that the fingerpoke of doom was a bit of a deathblow but here they are over a month later doing a massive number.
Unless you count Collision in Korea, Slamboree 1999 had the largest crowd for a WCW PPV with over 20,000 in attendance yet it's a show no one ever talks about.
Halloween Havoc 1998 had one of the most stacked cards in wrestling history but for some reason didn't even come close to selling out the MGM Grand. AEW Double or Nothing 2019 and WWE MITB a few weeks ago both sold more tickets in the same building.
Wrestlemania 19 famously drew a terrible PPV buyrate. It was the only year WM got less buys than the RR and even No Way Out came close. Coincidentally or not, it's also the only Wrestlemania were the top two matches were built exclusively on Smackdown, with Angle/Lesnar main eventing and Hogan/Vince getting the biggest promotional push. You also had the racist storyline with Booker/HHH and an arguably stale Austin/Rock for the third time at Wrestlemania with a lackluster build.
The most purchased Royal Rumble PPV is 2002, despite the other four 2002 "big 5" PPVs being considerably down that year and business in general tanking that year. I guess HHH's big return and maybe rumors of the NWO debuting were the reasons why this one managed to buck the trend.
MITB 2011 for all the hype around Punk/Cena didn't do anything great. Extreme Rules a few months earlier with Miz/Morrison/Cena in the main event had more buys and MITB the following year with seemingly nowhere near the same momentum got almost exactly the same number.
Bad Blood 2003 using only the Raw roster and with a Nash/HHH rematch drew 40,000 more buys than Backlash using the entire roster and with Goldberg's WWE debut and dream match main event with Rock.
Wrestlemania 26 "only" drew 885,000 buys. Nothing to sneeze at but it was the only Mania after 19 that didn't get near the million mark. The card looked pretty stacked too and arguably better than 25/27.
Survivor Series 2000 drew 400,000 buys. That would be a good number anytime outside of 1998-2001 but at the time was considered terrible and the lowest drawing PPV of the year.
In 2013 Brock/HHH III at Extreme Rules and with a weaker looking undercard outdrew Rock/Punk II at Elimination Chamber.
Taboo Tuesday 2004 had the lowest attendance of any WWE PPV ever with only 3,500 in a building holding almost 19,000. It was on a tuesday though (duh) which was unusual so the lowest attended weekend PPV would be December To Dismember.
Summerslam 2007 outdrew the previous year despite 2006 being a way more stacked card with Edge/Cena, Hogan/Orton, DX/McMahons, Batista/Booker and Flair/Foley. 2007 had an injury and suspension ravaged roster with way less star power on the card but it did have the first big Cena/Orton match and both HHH and Mysterio returning.
