No he ain't.
No take is.
You can keep him far away from superhero stuff. Can only have him fight mobsters, Batman ain't realistic.
There's nothing real about a billionaire putting on a bat suit to fight crime with ninja skills.
I dunno, just a take that is irritating. I love the Nolan and Reeves movies-- they're not realistic.

I want a Batman movie where he fights a time-traveling alien robot damnit!

I would unironically love a live-action Batman movie that wholeheartedly embraces Silver Age wackyness.

No actual billionaire would put their life on the line to fight crime. That's how this is unrealistic.

In the more edgy realistic Batman, Bob never gives a clown a gun.

This is why Batman Forever is the best Batman film.

And arguably the most emotionally realistic and nuanced Batman movie was a cartoon that came out in 1993.

Everybody has that moment in their life when they finally realize the only realistic part of most comics is the billionaire villain with zero powers but an unending army of thugs, mercs and lawyers. Oh and they never actually stay in prison. They are always free like 2 pages later.
And for some reason they always look really awkward.

Also, I’m a bit over the whole “how come Bruce doesn’t just help get people more jobs so they don’t turn to crime, instead of punching them?” thing.
For one thing, I read at least one book where he offered Black Mask’s goons better opportunities. Two, superheroes are all about kinetic energy, excitement, saving the city/world from maniacs. Activism and philanthropy is slooooow. Three, aren’t many of Batman’s villains actually loaded? Court of Owls have mad cash.

Batman is a muscular billionaire who's so rich he can do anything. There's nothing about him that's any more grounded than any other superhero.

The other thing is that I feel like literally every live-action Batman since the Schumacher films has gotten this label.
I suppose it's better than the "Bam! Pow! Superheroes aren't just for kids anymore!" articles you used to get with every live-action superhero flick up through at -least- the first Avengers.

He did once bribe Mirror Master to f*** off by making a donation to the orphanage he came from in JLA. also written by Grant Morrison.

Guy who works all day as the head of an international company, then fights criminals all night as a superhero, and somehow doesn't frequently pass out in public from exhaustion, and is never asked about the innumerable wounds and scars he likely acquires over the course of his adventures.
Sounds realistic to me!
ETA: also all the sophisticated equipment he uses has to be built and maintained by someone. No one who worked on what eventually became the Batwing ever saw a news story about it and thought "hey...."

Personally I want Joker to bite the dust and not be used for about a decade. Put an embargo on him and Harley

I liked that the Reeves one had the lenses and just didn't even really attempt to justify it. It's super tech, and that's rad and fine.

I always saw the Nolan trilogy as being more logical than realistic. Batman has this tech because [insert logical reason] Batman can fight because [insert logical reason] The movies explain the reasons behind things and it all (largely) makes sense within the world of the movies, but it doesn't mean it's realistic.
