No, not the seminal John Grisham book turned into Hollywood blockbuster, but Stokely Hathaway's ragtag crew; a 'stable on retainer' as MJF puts it.
What do we think of this? Stokely went out of his way to highlight that they don't appear to be a stable in the traditional sense, just a collection of people that he wants to help.
Lee wants the Pure title, Gunns want the tag titles, Page wants the AA Championship, and W Morrissey wants to...be himself I guess?
So, does this indicate that it'll be a group that cycle in and out of wrestlers, i.e. they leave their association with Stokely once they get what they want, and then new wrestlers approach Stokely for help and join The Firm?
I dunno, sounds a little clunky, need to see more of it; but if anyone can make this type of thing work, it's probably Stokely- thought he was great on the mic last night.

Stokely is one of the best talkers in the game so anything that gives him something to do is nice.
My other opinion is that I feel Grandslam is setting up to give popular acts the ball and set them up as Champs with the Firm being the the top heels for those divisions for the fall and winter. A guy like Ego doesn't need the group but it helps quickly wash the stink of ATT off of him but people like the Gunns and Moriarty do need that still.
And I think the important thing is that Stokely flat out said it, once they all get what they want they will go their separate ways.
Would in theory I think it works

That explains why Stoke promo last night dragged.

Legend has it, Stokely is still in the ring talking to this very day.

That explains why Stoke promo last night dragged. On the outstanding World’s Greatest Managers DVD from years ago, Vince was talking about Captain Lou Albano and said as great as Lou was, sometimes he’d get carried away in a promo and take the focus off his guys and onto him. I’ve gotten that vibe from Stokely the few times I’ve seen him.

It just sounds like it should be the heel counterparts to the Butlins Bash Boys. Bunch of British footie hooligans who like fighting but in an EVIL way.

Because AEW needs more jobber factions. And Stokely's promo dragged.

So is he not with Jade anymore? I can't remember the last time he was with her. So I'm guessing no.

Did I get this right they are not associating with each other unless MJF needs them? So they are not going to help each other out at all?
Sounds pretty weak to me. Unless Stokely was lying.

I love that Stokely got a group called The Firm cause HEY I GET THAT REFERENCE but also that name makes me immediately nervous that this is gonna be another evil rich guy or evil lawyer thing.

Are they hired guns(no pun)? Are they just a collective of talent that Stokely manages? Why are Ethan Page and MJF even saddled up with this "stable?" Where are Scorpio Sky and Shawn Spears in all of this? How long until they're fed to JAS after one of these factions turn face? They had all that time to explain their mission, and I'm just wondering when are they going to get to the fireworks factory.
