Did I get this right they are not associating with each other unless MJF needs them? So they are not going to help each other out at all? Sounds pretty weak to me. Unless Stokely was lying. I assume the idea is that they wouldn't be omnipresent like JAS, like saying, "We're not going to just interfere in each other's matches constantly, relax" without coming right out and saying it.

Lee Moriarty and Ethan Page should be more featured so if nothing else, hopefully this group helps accomplish that.

I mean so far this is the most charisma Moriarty has shown since joining AEW, he is going to be the standout of the Firm at this rate.

I’m ambivalent so far. I’m not sure if they’re going to end up a comedic jobber squad or something legitimate. On paper, the stable looks good: Page is still over (despite how much the cat’s been overlooked) and could be a good leader. Morrissey is a good hoss. Lee Moriarty is showing a lot of personality abd exuberance, so that’s cool. The Gunns are over and I get the feeling, if this works out, they’ll be primed to eventually challenge The Acclaimed after they win the belts.
Stokely isn’t bad on the mic but I..really didn’t get that promo. They’re on retainer. He’s a friend with ambiguous contacts. He likes blackmail. And even the respective bits with each guy was weird. Morrissey not giving a shit, all praise to Allah, it just ..was weird.
If you look at these guys they’ve all been overlooked. Just go with that. And if they wanted to stick with the Satanic theme, there were places to go with that too. I want them to work but it feels a lil thrown together.

I thought it was a good promo and a great introduction to the group and their motivations, personally.
The introductory promo may have dragged a tiny bit, I suppose, but I didn't register that Stokely was focusing on himself more than his guys. I thought Moriarty, in particular, came away from that looking better than he ever has before.

That entire segment should have been cut by like 5 minutes at least, the MJF part included. I do think that sometimes promos in AEW need more structure instead of letting the guy go out there and wing it, which is what I’m guessing happened there because what in the hell was this guy even rambling about after a while.

I dont get the comparison with the HFO/AFO, the HFO had a washed up midcarder as the leader and their members were mostly midcard veterans with no upside and a young team that rarely wins, hell the group rarely won a feud on tv and all their did was drag their opponents down(Dark Order, Best Friends).

I was so confused by that promo.
I’m not a manger, I’m not a consultant, I’m not a council, I’m not an agent, I’m a friend. (What?)
I hung around baddies and obtained gossip (so were using the Baddies? Are you still cool with them?)
Started promo about delivering The Sunday Gospel, and then tells Lee Moriarty to Listen to Allah.
The group is only there to support MJF and will not be seen together as a whole again.
I’m a blackmailer. (What?!)

It's an interesting idea for a stable where it's a bunch of mercs with the same manager than something like JAS or Bullet Club. Stokely was a bit long in the tooth, but I'm interested in seeing where it goes.
This also doesn't have to be an exclusively heel stable either. Like I can see Morrissey working tweener or even face.

I thought Stokley was going to be providing MJF’s new goon squad, but his promo felt designed to distance himself from a long term relationship. Which I get, since it’s been established that the MJF character is too toxic to keep long term friends.

It just seemed like it was going in circles. Have you ever seen Paul Heyman or Bobby Heenan talk about themselves as much as Stokley did? He reminds me of Harvey Whippleman

Want to see where this goes

I didn’t get the promo either, but happy to see where it goes.

Feels a bit Heenan Family to me, so I don't mind the idea on paper.
It'll depend how well they're booked, though.

That was somehow a promo that went on forever and said too much, most of it contradicting something else. I kind of see the aim of it all but the execution was poor and I was another that was wondering where Shawn Spears is in all this. It'll be a shame if he's no longer with MJF.

I thought the promo was really good and Stokely needed to have it, he'd barely spoken since coming to AEW and one of the best things about Stokely is his mouth. He kept that crowd engaged that entire time, which is not easy to do, at all
The group being more connected by Stokely than connected themselves is total Heenan Family shit, and that's what I've been comparing them to this entire time. They don't need to be together all the time, they're answering to Stokely because Stokely's promised to take them higher than they've been and give them opportunities not present before
I don't think Stokely was going into business for himself with the promo going long, but he had to sell himself, and the entire idea, and idk, I thought what he did was fine
And sidebar, that theme music slapped, total 90's sounding Natural Born Killaz vibes.

Got the feeling Morrissey looking so uninterested was intentional. It's going to be funny when he finally has enough and powerbombs Stokely.
