Important to note, what they carry differs GREATLY between each country. DAZN used to have MLS, MLB, EPL, Champions League and NFL in Canada. Now they just have NFL, and TSN gives out RedZone for free, which even makes that mostly useless now Just had a look, and in the UK DAZN offer the following... Matchroom Boxing - I would guess 95+% of UK subscribers are boxing fans UEFA Womens Champions League Liga F LIV Golf PTO Tour Super League Triathlon Hexagone MMA Brave CF Street League Skateboarding Nitro Rallycross Prime Time Wrestling Basically boxing and lots of minor sports.

Will it allow me to pay DAZN 10-20 a month and to get PPVs? If so great. If not, I'm sure there are other compelling reasons for this, but none that involve me.

Correct. The flip side of it is that outside of boxing - DAZN will pay a small, often no fee for the content from those sports. But they are in desperate need of content people will actually watch on a weekly basis, and have tons of money. So there is a world where they could invest heavily in AEW to be a major part of their service.

People with big cocks call it Days Inn Snowflakes and lames pronounce it “Dazz-nen”.

All this talk about MLW people going nowhere just reminds me that Brian Pillman Jr's best work was as a heel with the Hart Dynasty. Man, if Teddy Hart wasn't a horrible POS, that'd be the group I'd bring in.

Sky and BT sports had/have lots of mainstream sports, so it kinda works. I didn't even know DAZN had a channel here until it was mentioned, assumed they just did boxing PPVs only.

The actual viewing figures for BT and Sky compared to any free TV sport are tiny. To then take a fraction of that (assuming ITV goes away) would be a bad move. I think FITE is more established than DAZN too over here.

If they move AEW behind a pay wall, they lose my eyes.
Simple as. I wont pay for a random streaming service that has absolutely nothing I want on it for the sake of some wrestling that's lost some shine recently anyway.
AEW on free TV actually brought me back to wrestling during the pandemic, and I'm glad it did, but I wont pay to follow it alone.
At least BT has loads of other stuff I actually want to see. DAZN, not so much.

All things considered, this is good for AEW. They needed a streaming service badly to host all of their past PPVs. My only bone of contention is that I wish it was on a major streaming service, but we'll eventually get there.

I gotta figure the North America archives streaming deal is coming with the next TV Deal.
But this is indeed a start.

I’d say that happens more down the line but right now, they have FITE covering a lot of countries and DAZN covering the other which makes sense. Maybe as HBO Max (or whatever this new service being announced likely by May is) gets into more countries, the fabled deal might actually happen but this makes sense for all involved for now.

I guess that means it's staying on ITV here in the UK.

ITV and fite are better options in the uk, hope those deals continue after the current end date but seems more likely we'll get stuck with DAZN (not 100% though, free TV has advantages). That's assuming it's chopped up ad-infested garbage with no way or skipping, or any PiP, like I'm reading. If they have regular TV channel (ie not app only) and /or no ads it's not so bad with ppvs included.
Worried about Wrestle Universe possibly getting ppv happy too.

I believe that was just a rumor and considering nothing was filed, no real reason to think there’s credibility to it.
