So what happens to the NEVER title now?
Also if he and Doc already knew they were WWE-bound while still being booked on NJPW shows, that's a real dick move on their parts.

Now I know why New Japan are so hesitant to give their belts to freelancers.
I’m guessing there’s some stupid deal in place but, if Inwas running NJPW, then Once Karl drops his title, I would never recognize him as champion and ban him for life. I’d also never give another freelancer a belt again. I know that will leave a lot of guys out. Tough titties, I say.
Never trust WWE. I wouldn’t put it past them to immediately go back on their deal.

Anderson is lucky he’s not dealing with previous NJPW regimes.
He’d have been beaten to a pulp in his last match.

Njpw world and Jay White retweeted the official wwe clips. Feels more like they've got an agreement that they'll start now but still finish up their bookings.

For the night before the Rumble, Okada and Eddie Kingston will team up against Jay White and an unannounced partner. We also have the TV title bracket.
October 14th: - Finlay vs Kanemaru - Alex Zayne vs ZSJ October 15th: - Henare vs EVIL - YOSHI-HASHI vs Cobb October 16th (cheering show): - Goto vs KENTA - Taichi vs SANADA October 26th (cheering show): - Yano vs O-Khan - Narita vs Ishii
The second round is the 27th and 30th, with the semifinals on November 5th at the final Battle Autumn show. The finals will take place at Wrestle Kingdom 17. All openweight and 15 minute time limits.
I have O-khan followed by Finlay as the inaugural champions.

The brackets for the TV title tournament look really good actually.

I know Vince isn't in charge anymore, obviously, but I do know it's generally frowned upon to not complete agreed upon dates when possible. In any case, I get why people are upset but some fans are really overreacting and jumping to conclusions.

If the TV Tournament matches goes the full 15 minute time limit, the winner will then be decided via coin toss.

Having thought about it a bit more, Narita is certainly a dark horse to consider. At the very least, a win against Ishii isn't out of the question.

The 4 way jnr heavyweight match being at Wrestle Kingdom feels really lazy to me. Plus it means Ishimori has defended the belt once since he won it in May. And that was in June which is... a waste frankly.

The Titan addition makes more sense now, as Hiromu is already booked for WK, so BUSHI will need a partner for Super Jr. Tag League.
As for the TV title tournament, I’d love it to be O-Khan, but it does feel like him and Cobb will be in the tag title bout at WK. Looking at the bracket, this might be leading to ZSJ/SANADA, so both of them get a featured match on the big show. KENTA is also a name they may want to give a showcase to that night.

My choice for first champ is either Finlay, Sanada or Narita.
Bit surprised Suzuki or Tanahashi isn't in it.

Finish your agreed upon date first, and then we can use you.

Apparently he's gonna be out for a long time due to it

As Chrom notes, kushida caught hand foot and mouth disease off his kid which meant he couldn't make the Ishimori match. He should be clear by WK, in fact should have cleared up by now but we don't know his current condition

Him being willing to let Andrson do the job on his way out could be seen as a gesture of good will. After all before his health scare he expressed interest in a retirement tour which would have included dream matchs against people even outside of WWE. It may not be immediate but I could honestly see WWE in the future leaning into cross promotion a few years down the line.
