I wonder if we'll start getting Ric Flair's Last Match 2, 3, 4, etc.?

Flair saw the hype Muta v. Sting was getting and he's like hold my rum and coke.
Seriously, HHH if this man is your idol and friend, please do the industry a favor and just put him on the payroll as ANYTHING but an in-ring talent. And if you need help coming up with something for him to do, how about you make him WWE's official ambassador of sitting down and shutting the hell up🤔

We used to joke around Ric Flair dying in the ring and that looks like a grim reality waiting to happen at this point.

I don't know why it never occurred to me that the other side of Flair wanting to die in the ring is that he wants an audience to SEE HIM DIE in the ring...

Remember when he got a tremendous send off from WWE with a great Wrestlemania match, and then a prime time show full of people kissing his ass? That was fun. Fuel was trying to warn us the entire time "LEAVE THE MEMORIES ALOOOOOOONE!!"

Ric Flair, celebrating 50 years in the world of professional wrestling, announced today that he has no plans of ever retiring from the industry.
Flair also went on to say he has scheduled 10 "Ric Flair's Last Match" matches for 2023.

I would like to see Ric Flair face MVP in a Pizza Eating Contest.

Think its because the people who have said he is a very selfish person have long since given up while his enablers are the loudest.

Both Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan are two guys that were a big part of my early days as a wrestling fan. But I have no desire to see either of them on my screen ever again.

Which company will hire him though? I'm sure HHH thinks this is nuts, AEW doesnt want him, TNA isnt that desperate, NWA doesnt use legends all that much, the only companies who'll hire him are incredibly skeevy indies (I'm talking stuff that's even lower than CYN).

I'd like to say no promoter with a soul would book Flair in a match, but then I remember this is the wrestling business. Hell, there are probably promoters out there who would be proud to say he died in their ring, morbid as that is.
In a perfect world, Triple H would lock Flair down on a super-exclusive contract and trot him out every couple of months to wave to the fans. But the truth of the matter is, any good will Flair had with WWE, AEW and sadly, even his own family, has probably gone down the drain thanks to his shenanigans.

He means he's never retiring from the wrestling business. He's not wrestling anymore, he's staying involved in wrestling as a manager and ostensibly never wants to retire from that. Picture Freddie Blassie in the wheelchair in 2001.
Oh wait I mean uh *insert histrionic comment about Ric Flair here*

"I'll never retire from the business" is how I took this statement and not, "I'LL BE WRESTLING IN TACOMA THIS WEEKEND, DON'T MISS IT," but he hasn't done anything to really make others believe otherwise.

It's amazing that Flair spent years criticizing guys that he considered not on his calibre, yet he's done everything he could to help destroy the image he's built for himself.
Yeah, I don't agree with Shane Douglas, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior...or any of the other guys that Ric tried to swat down over the years, but none of them are as shameless as he is. What's next? Is he going to pull a Virgil and stand outside subway stations begging for money because he's Ric Flair?
Ric Flair the person and Ric Flair the wrestler are one in the same. Ric HAS to be the gimmick and he HAS to live the life. And if that means he has to continue to climb in the ring and look more and more embarrassing every time, then he will do it. It's a total facade and Ric does not care.
The guy can't end this chapter of his life, because he literally has nothing to show for it without it. Nothing. And that's really sad.

How much you want to bet he blew most or even all of the money from his retirement match already?

The man is ill, to be perfectly honest, and needs help. Apparently he's drinking again, so you sort of wonder what's going to finish him off first, the booze or him carrying on wrestling. And that's just depressing.
