Now that the Hoojib are canon again, I await the Slivilith to be made canon again (though we can skip having it be vulnerable to a single Wookie that weighed less than 1% of its mass being able to kill it by slamming it to the ground). Don’t know if it has to be a Yuuhzon Vong creation again, though the Vong were going to be canon had Disney’s purchase come later as there was a Vong arc planned for The Clone Wars.

I posted this video in the MCU thread, but it warrants consideration here given the past several seasons of Star Wars shows on Disney+.
The making of Andor could be a model to emulate for future Star Wars shows. And not in terms of grim and gritty style, profanity, and morally grey characters, although I wouldn't say no to any of these.
Instead, I'd like to see Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and anyone else with Star Wars TV adopt the attitude and thought process towards telling stories in the Star Wars world that Tony Gilroy and company have shown so far with Andor.

Suddenly I'm glad Clone Wars got cancelled when it did. Or thankful to Lucas if he put the kibosh on that idea.

Suddenly I'm glad Clone Wars got cancelled when it did. Or thankful to Lucas if he put the kibosh on that idea. Honestly, I disliked learning the EU made it a Vong spying lifeform. While I appreciated someone remembering a creature from the original run of the Marvel comics line and wanting to make it relevant again, I was perfectly comfortable with it joining my mynocks, space slugs, and pergill as space capable lifeforms native to the SW galaxy. Honestly, I initially liked the Yuuzhan Vong. They overdid it and ran it into the ground. I would have done a couple of different things: 1) Since it was a big plan to be a major focus, they should have had them be a slow burn in the background. While the stories of other books are progressing, you can have Kardde or Booster trying to get help finding out why planets in the Corporate Sector are going radio silent but getting no help because the heroes have to stop the New Republic’s crisis of the day and can’t spend time on planets that aren’t even members of the NR. Later, the Hapes Consortium can try to get Leia’s help to make arrangements for refugees that started showing up after fleeing from mysterious invaders. The reason to do it like this is to build the interest, emphasize that it’s going to be something major, while not setting yourself up to too rapidly hit a saturation point. 2) Cut down the number of books. Like, way down. You do it by two ways. First, learn to better exposition. Zahn managed to give the impression that Thrawn was curbstomping the New Republic on planet after planet. He did that in three books. The second is to combine some of the books into larger books. Charge more for them if you need to, but the last thing they needed to do was a multi-year arc involving them. It was too much.

It's been a running joke between me and my friends >-> Knowing that Star Wars can be as good as any other kind of prestige TV around today, I think even any meme Star Wars character could be made into something artistically legitimate in the eyes of the fans. What if Jar Jar Binks got a super-serious show based on what the character leaves off in the Aftermath book? Give me a Jar Jar Binks 12-episode show based on the above premise in the vein of Bicycle Thieves crossed with Life Is Beautiful. It would be heart-breaking.

Jar Jar gradually became a more acceptable character in the Clone Wars cartoon. Sure, he was still careless and awkward, but he also was clever at times, amazingly capable under pressure, and well-regarded in certain circles.

I would love a show set in the Old Republic or a show based in the underbelly of Coruscant with a character like Jax Pavan. Also would like either a series or movie about Darth Bane. I think Dave Bautista or the Rock would be good choices at least look wise (Bald, fairly tall, muscular physique) but Dave would probably not be interested and every movie the Rock's in he's himself.

They really had to name the fat guy "Porkins." >_> It got worse: in the EU he was given the nickname "Piggy" and named a flight manoeuvre "Porkins' Belly Run."

I did like the way they explained why Porkins didn't pull up when he died in the books and why most pilots do have a little artificial gravity present when flying.
