They really had to name the fat guy "Porkins." >_> It got worse: in the EU he was given the nickname "Piggy" and named a flight manoeuvre "Porkins' Belly Run." Hence my quote from Wraith Squadron, where Wedge and Wes Jansen were pondering on what Porkins would make of Voort saBinring, a Gamorrean X-wing pilot who also had the nickname of Piggy.

It’s time for Thrawn to become fully canon. We have Ashoka dropping a reference to him in the mandalorian, and the first order formed in the uncharted territories; the first order firmed from the remnants of Thrawn’s fleet.
It’s time for Xizor ti get his shot at the big or small screen too.

It’s time for Xizkr ti get his shot at the big or small screen too. He's already fully canon. He appeared in Rebels, several books, and the canon comics already. Even Dr. Aphra and her murder-bots can't claim that, and they're as canon as they come (not to mention awesome).

Fully canon as in its time to appear in the flesh and he’s his role in the greater lore solidified. There are a lot of characters that have appeared in various media but that have not been fully integrated into the general canon as set out in the original films. The new tv shows and sequel movies set the stage for Thrawn perfectly. .

Well then, you are in luck as I believe his voice actor is in line to play him live action (shame we couldn’t have said the same for the Grand Inquisitor).

A solid case an be made fur C’Baoth along with him. He hasn’t gotten as much cross exposure as Thrawn but with the olotvejdnebts we’ve got so far, I could see opening being there: the empire created Snoke just like he created C’Baoth in the novels. The hunt for Grogu and the presence of Ahsoka, having never completed her Jedi training-C’Baoth is out to recruit his own force users to train. Probably also high time Mara Jade gets to appear in the flesh too.

I suppose you can blow a budget on a show by using the glorified DeepFake Luke (and yes, that is what they started using when they hired the amateur FX artist who made a better looking version of Luke than they did in the Mandalorian to update their techniques) to tell the full story of their relationship, but I don't know if that is in the cards.

Easy answer: Luke had other students at his Jedi school, one of whom he struck up a particular relationship with that was starting to grow into something else. Kylo Ren thought he had killed them all off, but this one escaped. After Luke went into hiding she went off trying to find him Jessica, hence why she was not active in any of the sequel films.
