Mine's a bit more nebulous, but it's whenever the fictional reality of WWE was filtered through Vince McMahon's perspective on the world to give us his skewed take on morality or what was "right." This could be as innocuous as the politics of wrestling (WCW is BAD and all of its wrestlers are JOKES, and now we own WCW and are going to make that canon) to contemporary events (the Steiner/Nowinski debate, the Raw walkout) to problematic views on masculinity or sexuality (take your pick). The Mr. McMahon character had the effect that WWF/WWE was usually portrayed as a heel organization from 1998 up through the Authority, minus periods where the WWF was itself the purest and most noble company on the planet (the Invasion, Stand Up For WWE), but I'd argue that the entire kayfabe presentation of WWE has always squicked me out because I've never been able to look past Vince McMahon's take on things, especially as the years rolled on and more of the show reflected his bizarre personality and mindset.

As long as Ludwig Kaiser isn't going "Imperium over everything" again, I might be good. And even then I wouldn't be offended, I'd just skip some of my favorite boys.

The first time they brought in Cryme Time. They wrote a press release presenting the gimmick as smarter than what it was. It was going to be something that challenged the way people thought... and they never really got past LOL these black guys steal stuff.

I don't remember anything blatantly antisemitic outside of maybe IRS having some pretty bad stereotypes. But it wasn't overt. So nothing that offended me personally. Offended my tastes? Let me count the ways.

Can’t say I’ve been offended by a TV show before. We are all going to die one day and when I’m on my death bed I’d like to think I got emotionally hurt about more important things than a TV show.
Now feeling my intelligence has been insulted… yeah

In addition to the above mentioned, the Natalya farting gimmick.
For two reasons, First, I admired her as an athlete and performer. With all the work she has done for the industry, you better put some respect on her name.
Second, it is offensive to think that I and others are immature and can be easily entertained by “fart jokes” like I’m in the 4th grade.

This is a good thread to remind everyone that this year marks the 20th anniversary of HLA, Billy & Chuck’s non-wedding, and Katie Vick.

When they originally billed Finlay as being from "Belfast, Ireland" as if their viewers weren't intelligent enough to know there's a Northern Ireland. I dunno, I don't think northern Ireland is quite as well known as maybe the people there think it is. I've met many Americans who I had to explain the situation. Shit, I don't exactly understand it all and I'm from there. And yes, it does give you dual nationality. Pretty handy for ....***censored*****

As I've mentioned here before, the Piggie James thing actually made my anorexia worse for a while

As I've mentioned here before, the Piggie James thing actually made my anorexia worse for a while At least Mickie got to win in the end. (edit: win at the PPV, where it supposedly counts...) Molly Holly not only didn't, but she was the HEEL. Uncompromised beauty standards always bothers me, and is still a big problem in all forms of entertainment. Yeah yeah Lizzo, but she has loads of "LOL she's fat!" haters. Fun fact: I used to LIKE Nia Jax at first, as she was a PSW who wasn't getting a Bertha Faye gimmick.

I don't generally get offended by anything on TV, it's just TV. I admit I find it frustrating when they insult my intelligence or actively hate their fans...
The stand up for WWE campaign is one of the worst things they've ever done.

The way that New Day won their first tag team titles in Baltimore in 2015. Read the room WWE. Refresh my memory? On that topic, if the "cutesy" hidden message in the Hurt Business' members' names is intentional...

I mean, I've never clutched my pearls or anything, but there have been plenty of occasions where I've wondered why I, as a Black man, would want to support this company, even by just tuning in. Shelton Benjamin's mammy in particular still leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

She won at the Rumble in quick, decisive fashion but lost it back to McCool a month later on SD. Then she got hurt and randomly went to Raw before being fired some time later. In the end, she won once and lost/looked stupid a bunch of times
