Don't know if this has anything to do with it but when NBC showed "Back To the Future" after 9/11 (and they STILL air this version), they edited out the Libyan terrorist subplot. they don't even use the word "terrorist" cause apparently they don't wanna offend terrorists. So now it looks like Doc gets shot by some Middle Eastern guys cause they were cruising around in their VW van and saw a guy with Albert Einstein hair in an empty mall parking lot with a Delorean and decided to take him out. That's somehow worse because it makes Middle Eastern people look like they are crazy and will shoot people for no reason. I know!! But for some reason the network jerks think this makes it all better cause they won't be using the word "terrorist". After the Kennedy assassination, did they have to blur out guns in movies and bleep out the word "kill"? (reminds me of George Carlin's routine with the f-word that had me crying with laughter). Or better yet, replace the guns with walkie talkies.

Way off topic, but since you mentioned it.....The episode of That 70's Show where Eric listens to that was on last night.....He kept saying each dirty word had a number...Despite listening to this routine hundreds of times, owning the CD and LP....I never once knew each one had a number. Even more bizarre, they turned it into a mini-sub plot of the show.

The WTC is OUT of Big Daddy. Just learned that today I'm not American, so maybe I fail to understand. However, isn't removing past images of the WTC admitting it affected everyone? I know the media and the guys who's job starts with p and ends with ition suggested we must not let them win. Wouldn't leaving the towers in be better? Show more American spirit? I understand for things which take place after 9/11, it would be odd to have the Towers in, but since is TV and movies really that concerned about continuity? I get the pain of that day, I just don't understand the knee-jerk reactions afterwards. Can someone explain it to me?

Why not just simply remain in historical truth and keep the towers when a scene/movie takes place BEFORE 9/11 and remove them when it takes place AFTER this event ?? Is it too simple ?
