I figured since Tony has only amped up the ROH stuff recently and has been signing more people. You don't do that without having some ducks in a row.

This is gonna really annoy Dave, he literally just had a piece saying that WB didn't want anymore wrestling so pitching ROH and All Elite Women's shows were going to be a failure and he cited Rampages crappy audience as a reason why there wasn't room for anymore.

I think there's a bit more nuance than that if you're referencing what he said in the Observer which is this: "Tony Khan is also pitching ROH as a separate show and All Elite Women as a separate show. My belief is that there is no demand for adding hours of wrestling content and wrestling fans have as many hours now and can’t watch all of them, which is a reason Rampage numbers are sliding because of the major shows, it’s the most “can miss” because of lesser star power. But Rampage is still top five in its time slot on cable most weeks and WBD alone has 30 stations." I think his point is more that another wrestling show will likely do lower numbers than Rampage since the demand isn't there from the wrestling fans (as opposed to WBD). I think the point he mentions towards the end speaks to why they could get a show added. There's just so many hours to fill and wrestling is still on the whole cheap programming for TV stations.

I get where he's coming from and adding 7 hours of wrestling content a week to my schedule is a big reason why I haven't gotten back into WWE regularly despite the better-sounding product compared to this time last year.
But I would make time for an hour ROH show.

This sounds good in paper. My worry is that Tony Khan is going to book everything and both AEW and ROH programming would look sloppy as a result.
Tony, please do not be hands on with ROH. Hire Delirious or Gabe if need to.

Dave's point about their being a work out wrestling audience is a fair one. However, if ROH ends up on Discovery or TruTV, they won't need big numbers for WBD to be happy. The average viewership for TruTV is 198k people. If ROH even got Rampage numbers, then WBD would be very happy. I found this website (https://www.statista.com/statistics/228990/cable-tv-networks-trutv-watched-within-the-last-7-days-usa/) that details out their viewership. Discovery channel would be a bigger platform and have higher expectations. Their average viewership is 637k (demo between .16 and .20) ustvdb.com/networks/discovery/

Prediction is ROH ends up in Tru TV or Discovery I mean what else does Tru TV have aside from sports a few weeks a year and the jokers show?

I hope so. I don't really care about the majority of ROH stuff so I'll be glad to see it on its own. Plus, it's making the AEW shows more crowded and that's not doing either AEW or ROH any favors, IMO.

If this helps get ROH off of Dynamite/AEW I would be so so happy I'd rather they'd just unify the ROH titles with their AEW equivalents but a separate brand goes at least some way to cutting down on the belt-bloat. I was actually half-expecting JAS was going end up holding the ROH titles hostage as an excuse to unify them kind of deal, but no dice it seems.
