Prediction is ROH ends up in Tru TV or Discovery I mean what else does Tru TV have aside from sports a few weeks a year and the jokers show? Hell, it's not even a few weeks; they get the First Four and the first round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. That's it.

I've said it in the past, but if Hero would be up to book it, I'm all for it. I feel like he and Regal could pull off some goddamn magic

Cool, the sooner we get ROH out of AEW the better

Yeah I’m also quite looking forward to this just so ROH doesn’t clog up AEW programming and they can use Rampage in particular to give higher profile feuds to guys like Starks etc
Nothing against ROH, I just don’t have any interest in the brand but happy for the wrestlers and fans of it

The title is misleading, he doesn't say "deal" just mentioning a weekly show. I wouldn't be surprised if they just change Dark Elevation to ROH.

I hope the great news is that I'm finally taken off my weekly dose of Jay Lethal

I'm in a funny position where I am super eager for them to announce an ROH show and have absolutely no intention of watching it.

I'm really looking forward to it happening; I honestly felt during the pandemic that ROH might've had the best overall product going in the US, but the damage had been done to its image since 2019. Obviously it's now under new management, booking, and even camera/presentation style, but I'm super excited about the idea of a show that's its own brand and has distinctions from AEW in some of those areas, but has the financial backing, stability, and a fan of the promotion's history in Khan running things.
Plus when ROH was in big trouble before being sold the fear a lot of us had was that there'd be one less place for wrestlers to make a full time living, since they had a lot of folks under contract. Getting it back on weekly would mean a lot more spots opening up for people, including a lot of younger wrestlers who'd be there to get experience.
And while I don't really get the complaints some people have about ROH belts appearing on Dynamite, I can agree that it'll be good to have the belts focused in their own promotions. Even once ROH has its own show I won't mind if there's some crossover with some title matches for each happening on the other's show now and then, but it's true that things would feel more streamlined, and of course it would help with the issues of roster bloat since there'd be another place for people under contract to work, stay fresh, see different opponents for awhile, etc.
It'll also be interesting to see who's going to go where once things get going. If Jericho and Garcia are still champs come 2023 then you figure they'll be a presence on a new ROH to get eyes on it (that's what makes me think it's a TV deal and not just rebranding one of the Dark shows; they wouldn't get the belt on Jericho for an online-only show), but for how long before they want them back more fully on AEW? Same goes for Joe and FTR. And hell, think of some of the wrestlers who might've been brought in to be in ROH at first but might be getting over enough that Khan will want to keep them around in AEW: Willow, Castle, etc. So lots of pieces moving around, lots of possible combinations, and maybe even other new additions to the ROH side.

While there are things I didn't like in ROH its last year I do think that after they returned they were at their most distinct in terms as a roster than they had in a long time and that's a compliment

Won't mind have them finally separating. Haven't minded the ROH stuff mixing with AEW but it'll be better for everyone to have everything on it's own shelf. It'll allow for more talent on both shows to develop and gain traction and allow for the titles on both shows to be highlighted properly again. Really hope Tony delegates booking a bit for ROH but I fear how much less hands on he was with AEW and how mixed those results were burned him too bad to consider doing so.

I'm glad it's happening and also kind of shocked people want it off AEW TV so badly
Garcia vs Yuta and Danielson, Claudio as champion taking on Takeshita and Dustin in bangers, Jericho as champion facing the likes of Danielson, Bandido, Claudio, and Dalton, The Gates of Agony with Prince Nana are great, Joe vs Suzuki, getting peeps like Willow Nightengale a foothold in the company, Dalton Castle and The Boys appearing. Ian and Caprice on commentary for matches.
Like... the one severe drawback you can point to for most peeps is that it's given Jay Lethal a lot of matches with his crew... other than that, I don't see how having ROH centric matches in AEW has been a bad thing at all. I do get the prospect of overexposure or wanting to see them finally get their own identity in their own program, but I think it's overall been handled pretty well.

My only real issue with ROH on AEW is that Wardlow's gotten lost in the shuffle a bit. I like him and Joe being this badass team of killers, but Wardlow's spent more time feuding with ROH guys than defending the TNT Championship. Like, tonight would've been a good night to put the gold on the line, but unless TK announces something in the next two hours, it's not happening. That's my one issue, though. Otherwise the ROH stuff has been great.

Really the only decent thing about the ROH on Dynamite stuff is that Jericho and Garcia are putting in great work with the titles and their story, but FTR and Joe just feel like placeholders keeping the belts warm.

My issue is you have two rosters of people fighting for spots on 3 hours of TV a week with a lot of titles needing to be treated as important. The matches are great but slimming down the roster and titles can only be a good thing.

I’m guessing Jericho will lose the RoH title the first episode of the new RoH show, wherever it ends up.

Honestly, starting the show off with the hot angle of Garcia chasing Jericho could do wonders for the show. And getting Jericho off of Dynamite for a minute would help refresh him when he eventually returns.

In the meantime I hope Silas Young is brought back, too. Also wouldn’t mind Shane Taylor making a return, but feeling like I haven’t heard a peep about him in ages.

It all will definitely get more interesting when they get their own show. Looking forward to seeing who will be the ones to carry the show in the long run.
I'd be so thrilled If Homicide (not sure If he's available) got similar run in ROH that Eddie Kingston is having in AEW.
