Where people went into business for themselves? I think Punk with the Hangman comment and scrum will be the most recognized one in modern history but any others? And I’m talking strictly on the mic

Didn't Ric Flair do this around 2006 that led to Vince pretty much scripting all promo's and taking away free mic time as he had sponsors in the back..

Scott Steiner multiple times in 2000. He completely buried the likes of Flair, DDP and Kimberly in unscripted promos. I think he got suspended at one point but laughed it off because it was a suspension with pay and he was like how is chilling at home for 2 weeks and getting paid for it punishment?

Warrior at the HOF induction: "I think they should put the F back in." The Wrestlemania 30 backstage documentary showed Warrior asking Vince if he wanted to hear his speech beforehand but Vince OK'd anything without hearing it. It was Warrior's night, and he had the boss' permission. |

According to Death of WCW, Warrior was given 4 minutes for the promo, but he managed to go on for 20.

Poppa Pump was wild in 2000. I remember he came back from suspension with a piece of tape over his mouth with “censored” written on it. Can’t remember if that’s the time he had the tiger or not. lol Inmates were fully in charge of the asylum by 2000. I’m pretty sure everyone just went out and freestyled. |

Shane Douglas after he won the NWA title. Paul Heyman and Tod Gordon were in on it with Douglas. It was just the NWA rep. there that night who didn't know Douglas was going to throw down the belt. |
