Do WWE shows have a "Code of Conduct" that they put onscreen before the show starts? Because AEW does and I've noticed the reported incidents like this have become almost non-existent. Not on screen, but they play an audio announcement that spells it out before every event. You know the one. It starts with booming music and then everyone cheers so loud that you can't hear the announcement. They told you their code if conduct. It's not their fault you were screaming your head off during it.

If it didn't make so much money for the venues, alcohol would've been banned from these events ages ago.

He said that at the first house show I went to at the Meadowlands in Oct. 92.

1) That is Machismo at it's finest. 2)Considering that WCW was formed from old southern territories(JCP & GCW as examples) it's shocking the NWO didn't get worse.

They should have done away with drinks at sports arenas an eternity ago, but the venues know they can charge such an unhinged mark-up for bottom shelf beer that it's never going to go away, so people will still keep getting very drunk and doing dumb shit like this. I like my drinks when I go to these events thank you very much I can't sneak in Tequilla every time like I did at Tampa

They have an audio recording they play before every event, and it was the first thing they did last night-- one of the first things mentioned is "please be considerate, there's children in the audience, don't throw things for the safety of others"

Not that it would be excusable if they didn't have one. I would think "don't throw shit at the performers" should be pretty common sense.

"You could injure a wrestler, and more importantly, you could injure a fan sitting at ringside, and we DON'T want to see that happen." That's where they'd make sure to also say "under the auspices of Titan Sports" and mention the state athletic board.

If you're the sort of moron who would throw a drink at someone, a "Code of Conduct" isn't going to stop you

I've seen some really dumb takes about how wrestlers should be honored by drink throwing and how people are soft these days 😶. Like how is that your take from this.

I love how she's taken it in her stride. She probably put some kind of Romanian curse on the woman.

Cornelius Von Tennisracket: back in my day you’d be covered in beer, piss, shit, and stab wounds and you’d still get all of those southern rats wanting to come backstage for some midnight loving and we made out just fine. This new generation is just too soft.

I blame a lot of this (not all of it though) behavior on WCW glorifying fans throwing shit in the ring during the nWo's heyday as a way of showing how hated they were. Although you'd think it would've stopped once batteries and bricks were brought into the equation...
Either way, it's something from the "classic era" of wrestling that really needs to go away forever.

You should be honored to be stabbed in the ass for insulting the local sports team.

You should be honored to be stabbed in the ass for insulting the local sports team. Some lady accidentally smacked me in the ass while we were waiting to get at the merch table yesterday. Does that count? No? Ok.

All the events I've been to over the last decade, whenever that audio plays people are cheering and hollering because of the booming music and the lights doing a show.
