Because Moxley called that one at All Out the worst one he's ever seen and I want to discuss this matter further.
My first instinct is that Kofi / Hager / Ziggler one where the other guys pulled the belt down but then Ziggler won because he caught it for some reason. I think they might've also used that finish for Kofi / Morrison / Whichever Uso at Mania 36?

After everyone else is knocked out, Brock just shows up at the end and grabs the briefcase You forget Mustafa Ali being on top of the ladder with the briefcase in his hand and just standing there staring like an idiot for like two minutes instead of just grabbing it.

There was a WCW one right before the Radicalz left where Benoit was climbing the ladder and the rungs were breaking as he stepped up, but he had to pretty much stomp on them to get them to break and it was pretty ridiculous.
I’m pretty sure that the actual finish was Jeff Jarrett winning so it was a double whammy of suck.

Looking that up, for bonus stupidity Jarrett won the US title from Benoit in a ladder match the night after Starrcade 1999... after Benoit had beaten him in a ladder match on Starrcade itself to retain it.

How about the King of the Mountain match where Earl Hebner is getting up from a ref bump and "accidentally" tips the ladder over on Sting and Christian, allowing for Jeff Jarrett to steal the NWA World title?

One of my biggest wrestling pet peeves is multi-man matches where wrestlers spend half the match having a lay down outside the ring for minimal reasons. Particularly in ladder matches.
I might be misremembering but I think a big part of that is one (presumably mitb) where Kane got taken out by the equivalent of a side effect, something he'd usually kick out of. I kept expecting him to come back for the rest of the match but it never happened, someone else won several minutes later and Kane was nowhere to be seen. It soured me on the whole match type.
Can anyone verify if this actually happened or have I filled in the gaps with the wrong person?
Any ladder match that leaves me trying to remember what took an entrant out of the match would count though.

Can anyone verify if this actually happened or have I filled in the gaps with the wrong person? I looked up the Mania 26 MitB - the only other one Kane and Matt were both in Kane won so that wouldn't be relevant to check - and I think you're misremembering things. Matt does take Kane out of the match but it's him and Christian together kicking him off a ladder, and Swagger runs in and wins it like immediately afterward so he's not really down for a super long time anyway. I think you might be conflating how a bit earlier in the match Kane gets hit with a big boot from MVP out of the ring and it leaves him out for like five minutes. ... Which is weird since he takes a Trouble in Paradise while holding a ladder later and is up in like a minute.

Not an ending, but I do really hate that "being put through ladders" became a thing. It just looks so hokey to me every time.

Samoa Joe literally handing the title to Kurt Angle in a King of the Mountain match in 2009. What a wet fart of an ending.

Carmella winning the first womens' Money in the Bank via Ellsworth.
Can't remember the exact finish, but didn't TNA have a match where the prize kept falling down and had to be reattached?

TNA in its wisdom, run a women's ladder match on TV.
That ended in under two minutes.

TNA in its wisdom, run a women's ladder match on TV. That ended in under two minutes. It's baffling. Such a gimmick is meant to attract attention, but running the match so short leaves you unable to really capitalize on any attention from it. Furthermore, the Knockouts tended to be TNA's strongsuit, then and now, alongside the X-Division, but both divisions often got short changed in favor of putting all of the time and focus elsewhere. Short of someone getting hurt, I can't think of why they couldn't give a goddamn ladder match at least like 8 minutes, preferably more.

Scott Hall vs someone (I think Benoit?) for the US title in the Russo era. The belt felt down and they couldn't hook it back up, so what they did is have Kevin Nash beat everyone up and then HOLD the belt in the air, and Scott Hall picked up a ladder, and climbed up it to take the belt out of Kevin's hands. Which as I write it down, is actually hilarious - but it just fell apart entirely, the match.

He had three opponents and I couldn't name any of them.
And the belt didn't fall, it was part of an angle on top of that. It's even worse than I remembered!
