Dude has an ocean of options and can play with booking expectations: -Starks could be a great foil -Swerve is staking his claim to a Top Heel spot -Keith Lee is Keith Lee -Samoa Joe could be a dark horse challenger. Just let him be the goon that he is. -Kingston's story is right there on a silver platter -Pentagon can go full violent asshole -Miro just needs to be booked and let loose Honestly, both the AEW World & TNT scene can get a shot in the arm. Could also try getting Wardlow back to where he was, in terms of popularity, and get a rematch out of Max for the title. This was absolutely the right call. MJF is one of the cornerstones of AEW and is deserving of a long title reign. That being said, there was one sacrifice that had to have been made for this to happen that seems to have gone unnoticed. With Regal aligning himself with MJF, this also means that we may have seen the end of not only the Blackpool Combat Club, but more importantly, also the end of Regal’s over-the-top flirting with Excalibur. Now Regal’s gonna do old-man-creepy flirting with Excalibur. "Man in the mask! I've got some sweeties in a dark alley I want to show you!"

Have him hold it until Grand Slam and drop it to Eddie. This. In a perfect world, Eddie would have dethroned a heel Punk in a violent affair in NY. But that's not feasible anymore. So him beating MJF after a nearly year long reign would be just as satisfying..

I for one would like to see at least a mini feud with Miro at some point during this reign. God's Champion vs The Devil, it pretty much writes it self.

If it's MJF vs Ethan Page at Winter Is Coming, the crowd will definitely support MJF!

As long as he's still champion for the UK show, he can lose it any time after that

I mean TK really has no more excuses Outside of getting someone like John Cena, Brock Lesnar etc... you have a whole shit ton of options to choose from. I am not saying the title has to be on everyone but we should be in a "new era" now. Lee, Swerve, Hardlow, Kingston, Darby, Fenix, Penta etc all should be not far from challenging and possibly winning a world title. Like PAC is someone who could legit beat MJF the next PPV and it wouldn't feel out of place Dude has an ocean of options and can play with booking expectations: -Starks could be a great foil -Swerve is staking his claim to a Top Heel spot -Keith Lee is Keith Lee -Samoa Joe could be a dark horse challenger. Hell, whenever Hangman is ready for a return, even he could be a good challenger looking to be a two-time champion and regain the glory that felt all too fleeting for him.

Hopefully Starks will beat Page on Dynamite and will be MJF's first challenger. It's a good choice because MJF can beat him reasonably clean and definitively and Starks can get a great performance and rub and be pushed in defeat.
Although Page isn't a bad option either, and it would play into the stuff between MJF and the Firm. I'm hoping for Starks though.

I wouldn’t even mind if we got a screwy three way out of it but pretty sure it’s gonna be Ricky. Max absolutely can’t/won’t lose so they need to do everything within the angle to push Ricky, make him a believable challenge and elevate him. NGL, I’m quite excited/nervous for a Max/Ricky program for the title this soon. I can’t remember the last instance of two relatively, new-coming young guys as the top program for a major promotion.

I'd love it as the Winter is Coming main event. Starks is absolutely a star in my eyes, but I think he needs a star-making, main event performance to push him into that top tier and an angle and match with MJF can be it. The promos will be fire and I think they'd work well together in the ring, too.

Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett is actually surprisingly popular over here in the UK, so it should be interesting if any type of appearance comes from this.

It's had coverage on TMZ, too. It's been a good few days for AEW and mainstream coverage.

Two of the biggest carnies in their respective fields feuding.
It would make for a nice story for the UK shows.
